Don't expect a fancy 5-star hotel when you pay for a 2-star hotel. Easy as that. The staff was very friendly and made our stay at the hotel enjoyable. The bed's are very small but yet comfy. Very quiet neighbourhood and no loud noises during the night (not even during the weekends). The location was fine - a 10 minute...

We didn't pay a lot for a nights stay (thankfully). We were able to check in early which is one of the only plus points, location being another. Room was smallish, dark and not the cleanest, not sure if this room had been revamped, if it has, it needs more work, peeling paint, dirty carpet and a bed that I...

Dirty, filthy, disgusting hotel. If they ever give away a free night's stay, you would be better off sleeping on the sidewalk!!! P.S. The loud noise from the Thai restaurant that shares space with the hotel was a bit of inverse serendipity!!!

When we arrived we had to ring the bell and waited out side for a good 5 mins before it was opened for us! The room was okay, however due to the worn mattress I experienced the worst night sleep that I have ever had!! The Thai restaurant had good review and we were going to dine there that evening,...

Understand the chap has just taken over the hotel, and is doing it up slowly. We were looking for a budget hotel, and that is what we got. It was clean, the bed linen was white and crisp and the bed one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The bathroom could do with a makeover. It was only...

We arrive at the hotel not knowing what to expect . Room 11 was what we were given and to be honest it was not really what we had in mind . This said we contacted the new owner John who could not have been more helpful and we were instantly moved to another room as 11 was yet to...

We stayed here for one night, the staff were very nice, friendly and helpful; the service was second to none BUT the rooms were falling apart out of 4 light fixtures only 1 was working (this was resolved by the staff giving us another lamp), the wifi and tv connection were not working in our room, the cold water tap...

Room - dirty. TV - doesn't work. Wi-fi - doesn't work. Fridge - doesn't work. Window - screwed open so can't close it....... Could go on but just upsetting myself. Stayed in every type of accommodation all over the world... This rates as one of the worst. Had a fantastic night out but this has ruined our trip to Edinburgh....
