For the last four weeks, we have stayed at this family-run hotel during our renovation. Brilliant choice! As we live locally, we had held my Mum's funeral tea here and the staff were previously always so kind and helpful to my Mum when visiting in her wheelchair for lunch. My Mum's elderly brother had also stayed here when visiting my...

I called in here as was staying nearby, and wanted to see where the Leith Folk Club nights are held for future trips. The Gosford Bar is a lovely wee cosy bar, with a wonderful range of drinks, discounts for CAMRA members, take advantage of the trio of ales three 1/3rds for £4 and sample the great range of ales....

This lovely 10 bedroom hotel works really well for me as it combines a great Scottish welcome from the staff but also the local people who frequent the in house bar which is small and cosy. The staff are so helpful and in particular one young woman who really ran the show! The rooms for me are well delivered and to...

Just back from a few day's staying at the Victoria Park Hotel and definitely will be back. Staff excellent and could not do enough for you. Food delicious and well priced. Ideally situated for walking into town or jumping on a bus.

We had my dad's funeral celebration at the VPH recently - and this was handled very well, so when we needed to find a hotel in this part of the city, it was an easy choice. However, after we'd booked, we read the reviews on Trip Adviser and got nervous. This was a waste of our time as when we...

Stayed here in 1st week of February for 3 nights. I wasn't sure after recent reports but in the end I was delighted with this hotel. It has got big carport and the free car park is what you need in Edinburgh. Don't bother to take the car into town, it?s easy enough to get there by bus (10mins), bus...

Read lots of mixed reviews before our stay so thought I'd just share my experience. I also found it hard to find info on transport there. We travelled to waverly station and if you go out exit to princess St and cross straight over, head right toward North bridge St and take a left down by the old st James...

The hotel team under the unflappable Craig were a key part in making our day genuinely memorable. We had the hotel for the service, wedding meal, and the evening reception. The food - for close to 60 people and narrowed to two choices for each course - was excellent, as was the later haggis neeps and tatties (for 100). The...

I read reviews which are mixed but it was recommended by a local company and i wasn't disappointed. Staff are lovely. Room was clean which is all I ask for. It has that quirkiness that all old buildings have, creaky floorboards, odd shaped rooms. I would stay again and the price was reasonable.

Second visit here in 12 months. We used the Facebook deal (2 night stay with dinner). You are treated like a friend by the staff and by the owner. They all look very happy at work, joking, laughing , made us feel like we are at home. Hotel is situated just 2 mins from the bus stop, number 7 and...
