We stayed in this lovely Victorian house for four nights whilst visiting the Festival and of course the Edinburgh Military Tattoo. It turned out a real home from home feeling. On arrival we were greeted by Gill and of course Solo the lovely black Labrador and we were made to feel at home straight away. We had started the day...

I travel a great deal all over the world and stay in everything from very smart hotels to pretty basic B&B's. I can say with confidence that this is one of the nicest and most ideal City Bed and Breakfast homes that one could ask for, or find! The situation is so convenient being just round the corner from the...

We really enjoyed our one night stay here on brief visit to Edinburgh. Elegant spacious period property in Morningside district, with superb substantial garden to match. Breakfast very tasty and served in a most attractive conservatory. The hosts were very friendly. There were couple of minor admin glitches, but we felt that these were far outweighed by the overall quality...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It is a beautiful Victorian house with a lovely garden in a quiet street near a busy road. The owners are really nice and it was not a problem for them to welcome us at their house past 11 pm on a Friday night. The room was bright and spacious and...

We prebooked over the phone and offered to pay for the en-suite four poster room we were told we should pay on departure, which was fine. When we arrived we were shown into a twin room with no en-suite facilities but a bathroom at the end of the landing we told the man that this wasn't the room we had...

A beautiful old house with a garden to match. It is approached through a door set in the wall and down some steps - what a surprise to find yourself in such a lovely space so close to Edinburgh City centre. The owners are very welcoming, and full of tips and suggestions for places to eat. Our room (Cedar) overlooked...

Warm and friendly hosts, wonderful and expansive accommodation, excellent breakfast--at this level, cannot imagine anything better in Edinburgh. Every amenity provided. This is a beautiful family home with a large and picturesque garden. Great location with public transport around the corner. Would not think of staying anywhere else in Edinburgh.

This B&B is very good for us given its location, so close to relatives in the neighborhood. It's also near The Dominion Movie Theatre, and many shops on the high street. There is a Waitrose (grocery store) within easy walking distance, and 3-4 coffee shops not far away. Once you have arrived, it's the an unusual approach, as you go...

I stayed only one night here, and it was just perfect. I would certainly go back. The hosts, Bob and Jill, were very welcoming and the accommodation is lovely. I liked that they seemed to have considered what they would look for themselves in b&b accommodation, so there were lots of books and magazines in the bedroom, an abundance of...
