We stayed there recently and found Ardgarth Guest House to be fantastic. Extremely friendly service was matched by very clean rooms. What's more, the breakfasts were top notch. Overall, we really enjoyed the stay and the location was great. Situated on a nice, quiet street with easy parking and within walking distance to pubs, public transport and the beach. I...

My friends and I stayed at Ardgarth as part of a golfing break in Scotland. We were made very welcome at Ardgarth and were even given some great tips of courses to play in and around Edinburgh, as well as being advised on some of other things we could do to maximise our experience. The rooms were all very clean...

I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking to stay in Edinburgh. Great location with both the beach and pubs/restaurants on your doorstep The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable and the full scotish breakfasts are amazing.

Well equipped and nicely decorated rooms. Breakfast option of full Scottish or Scandavian is a nice touch - did not need to eat for the rest of the day! Frequent and regular bus service from close by bus stop makes getting around very easy and convenient. Great service.

I'm long overdue in posting a review (I apologize to Ursula, the landlady and hostess, for it if she's reading this). Two girlfriends and I traveled July 2010 to Scotland and Iceland for 2 weeks total and stayed at Ardgarth for 4 nights. Scotland and Iceland are fabulous countries full of kind, lovely, patient people; but Ursula is by far...

I write this review belatedly as I stayed at Ardgarth a couple of years ago with a friend over the Hogmanay period- we were lucky enough to get a room here at the absolute last minute. We both thought it was fantastic accommodation for the price and really had no complaints. The owners were very hospitable and made an effort...

After finding out our persnal interestes and what we wanted from our break she supplied us with appropriate attraction leaflets/ vouchers etc. Our room was fresh and spacious with an en suite and was spotless.Beds were made freshly...

We stayed 2 nights, 3 adults. The location, hospitality of the host and staff was excellent. Convinient parking on street. Easy bus service to all inner city attractions. With a car- take car and leave at the Staduim Shopping Center (free), and take the frequently running bus from there. First night was top room (9)- ample space, but very small...

We travelled to Edinburgh as a surprise for my Mum's 60th birthday and I cannot praise enough the welcome and the service we received from Ursula and her family. She made a real fuss of Mum and made us all feel so welcome. I'm a wheelchair user and found access brilliant. We had the downstairs room and there was plenty...

We spent 3 nights in Ardgarth Guest House. I stay at hotels and guest houses quite often, but I have never so satisfied with any of them. The location is perfect (it`s near Portobello beach), you can reach the city centre in 10 minutes by local buses. Ursula, the owner is a very lovely person, who is not only lovely,...
