My husband and i stayed 3 nights and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is clean and well furnished although our room was looking a little tired. The staff couldn't do enough for us. One person in particular, Camille (sorry if i have misspelt) in the breakfast room was fantastic. If one person made our stay feel special it was Camille. She served us every morning and was friendly, professional and more. Thank you very much

Lovely boutique hotel set a stones throw from Waverley train station & around the corner from the last stop on the tram. All COVID protocols followed & clearly explained. We were upgraded when we arrived, all interactions with all the staff were of a high standard, the room was spacious & had a great view. Our room had a massive terrace which, would be fabulous to use on a sunny day. Lots of storage in the room, it was clean & comfortable, the rooms do need a bit of renovation owing to some wear & tear although overall still of a good standard. The communal areas of the hotel were all kept well. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely, plenty of choice; you can see Carlton hill from the room you eat in too which was nice. The main disappointment was that there were no dinning facilities & you had to drink any alcoholic drinks in your room (given to understand this was part of Scotland’s COVID restrictions at the time), that being said one of the managers booked a great restaurant for us not far away from the hotel & they bring drinks to your room for you. On a warmer visit they also have beautiful gardens in the hotel we would have made use of, however we did have a quick walk around them nonetheless. The only other thing to call out is the hotel needs some more sound proofing in the bedrooms as we could hear our neighbours …having a good time! Twice! ;) Room neighbour noise aside, it’s the best location I have stayed in Edinburgh & I have done a few trips & stayed in several different hotels so I would definitely consider staying again.

Made a reservation for two nights and could have stayed for longer it was that good. Checked in by the wonderful Guillermo who made us so much at home. Given an upgrade and offered cocktails because we booked direct with the hotel. Rooms are great and well furnished. During our stay met great staff including John Paul and Victor. All great ambassadors for the hotel. Will be back for sure.

Hey Travelled from sussex with my daughter for a treat. Upon arrival, Reana could not of been any more helpful. She is a true asset to the Glasshouse. If your a platinum / ambassador the quality of service is unreal. I was fortunate enough for a free upgrade to a suite and the room was to die for.

Stayed one night and upgraded to a large terrace room which was much appreciated. All the rooms in this boutique hotel offer a view either of the city or the hotel’s garden and Carlton Hill. The room was airy and comfortable. The hotel lives up to its name with lots of glass juxtaposed with wood. Hard furnishings would benefit from some tlc in places but it didn’t detract from a great stay. The hotel has recently upgraded many of the softer furnishings. The hotel offers its own large roof garden which must be magnificent in the summer. The hotel is very well located, close to every that Edinburgh has to offer and a two minute walk to York Place tram stop. The breakfast was comprehensive and high quality. There was a good choice of drinks and cocktails in the Snug. The hotel has no formal restaurant but Edinburgh offers many great options. What stood out was the excellent staff. A special thanks to Chava who went above and beyond to secure a restaurant reservation at short notice. Look forward to returning!
