I would recommend this for a budget stay. Only one pillow so a bit uncomfy, may be worth asking for an extra. Staff were friendly.never had breakfast so can't comment. If you get the number 3 bus it will take you to princes street and is only £1.50! Much cheaper than getting taxis all the time.

Booked this function hall for a birthday party, the hall is very dated but looked fine after we decorated it for the party but would not recommend at all. Dirty toilets, ran out of toilet roll, two grumpy looking bar staff who tried short changing a few guests, after getting pulled up then just shrugged their shoulders, they only stock...

Given a 4 star for a stag do hotel. Would give a 1-2 star if it was a weekend away with the misses. Cons Very thin walls so can hear every snore/conversation/movement from neighbours Not been refurbed for a while looks very dated Showers go cold Net curtains only (in some rooms) so be prepared for early start Pros Great...

A group of us stayed here as a base to explore the distinctive culture and heritage of Scotland's finest city. Our stay was quite memorable from start to finish... The diverse array of friendly staff made us feel immediately at home with their wit and wisdom. Between us we had several rooms but without doubt the one to request is...

We stayed for one night in a double room priced at almost £90, a very steep price for what we received. The website mentioned free wifi but it turns out that's only for the communal area downstairs and it's an extra £3 for wifi in the rooms. Breakfast is also not included, £4 for a continental, i.e toast and cereal,...

I only stayed at this hotel because I had a flight to Edinburgh and needed a place for the night because the last train had gone. I got a "value" deal. 26 pounds for the night. I sent them a message when I booked the room that I would arrive late. They charge 10 pound extra for late check-in which...

This hotel had its pluses and minuses. The room is good, the bay window had a view of the street and big windows allowed the air in. It is very easy to pass by. The parking is in the back of the hotel. There is a bus stop next to the hotel for getting into town and by the castle....

Room looked okay to start with but it was very plain, looking more closely it was scabby, old and very dusty. It could really have done with a good scrub before letting people sleep in it to be honest. The window sill had layers of dust and hair attached and the bathroom was dirty and half the flooring was missing!...
