Excellent value for money. Clean, spacious and modern. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Furnishings a little bit tired. Apartment had cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine and dishwasher. Ideally would benefit from additional kitchen ware, crockery and cutlery for those planning a longer stay, but will definitely stay again.
Excellent facilities which were quiet, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Our apartment had a dishwasher, washing machine, oven, hob, microwave and fridge freezer. We didn't actually use any of the cooking facilities as we had plenty of choice of restaurants nearby. There was a great shower which worked with no leaks. Good water pressure meant you could have a nice hot powerful shower after a busy day. I found it very relaxing. The heating was easy to use and made the apartment very comfortable. Great location for exploring the city with major bus routes only a stone's throw away. We will certainly be staying here again the next time we visit Edinburgh.
Excellent little apartment with everything I needed for an 8 day business stay. Kitchen was well equipped, bed comfortable, location surprisingly quiet. The front desk were friendly and helpful and made check in / out easy. One star knocked off for a few niggles - laminate flooring coming apart in places, dining chairs held together with duct tape, shower head which sprayed the whole bathroom.
My company travel desk messed up my booking at this hotel. Showed up to find no booking and rates in Edinburgh were crazy that week, plus no availability too of any reasonable priced hotels. Jason and the team there were incredibly helpful and arranged a room for me so for that I am hugely grateful. Thanks to Mohammed too when I checked out for ensuring I had a good stay. See you again soon.
We had a one bedroom apartment at StayCity West End. The apartment had all the basics. The furniture all seemed new and in good condition. Leather dining chairs were very slightly worn, but not an issue. The bed was very low which is a small issue for those of us with aging backs, but the matress was comfortable. The pillows were a bit thin and hard, but not bad. The kitchen had all the basics including a fridge with small freezer which worked well, dishwasher and washing machine which we didn't use, microwave, toaster, etc. There is no air conditioning, but we brought a fan with us and that made it cool enough even when it was around 22C. The location is very close to everything including public transport, but is quiet. The bedroom faced the inner courtyard so we didn't hear anything during our stay. …
This is a rental of a new build in which the Staycity company have basically bought a number of units and rent them out. It’s well located close to as Tesco express and bus routes to the City and is in a good area of town. There is a reception desk manned 24/7 and the staff were very friendly. When I returned one remembered my name without prompting. There are lockers to hire for storing your stuff at £2 or £3 depending on duration and locker size. You won’t get a full size suitcase in the locker but anything smaller should be OK. My main beef is that the actual accommodation was evidently designed by someone out to make money fast and not planning to live in it. There are no USB sockets, the sockets in the bed room are BEHIND the bed not BESIDE it; there is no provision for a work desk, just a kitchen table with (you’ve guessed) few sockets and the kitchen area has had that fake wooden flooring down which was already lifting from spills on to it. The shower and toilet room is very basic and opening the window in the lounge/kitchen area or the bedroom means the entire window needs to be opened, not a small half light or similar. This isn’t Staycity's fault. It it reminds us how poor the standard of new build is. It is worth saying that the kitchen is well equipped with fridge, oven, kettle, microwave etc but the person who designed it thought for some reason that the cutlery drawer should be placed between the fridge and the oven (stacked vertically) not near the sink. 🤷♀️…
Great apartment, clean, great facilities, modern decor. Check in staff were great very friendly and apartment was easy to find. Location is great about 15 mins walk to centre of Edinburgh. Lots of great bars and restaurants near also 10/10
Good location for murrayfield stadium and haymarket restaurants . Apartment was perfect. Very clean ,good size and wonderful views over the city from the spacious terrace. Woukd definitely book again as great value for money
We only had one night at the apartment but would consider staying there again if we would go back too Scotland. It was convinient with 2 toiletts. There where 2 things that was a bit anoying, all the doors in the apartment closed by themself and if you forgot to hold on to them they slammed quit hard The floors squicy. We got to the hotel quite late and it feelt like we where disturbing because of the noises from the doors and the floor so it made us not to move around that much.
