A thoroughly enjoyable stay at No. 11, including a delicious evening meal in the Brasserie. Room was comfortable, breakfast good (properly served, not buffet), and the staff were friendly and very helpful. An ideal location for shopping and sightseeing in Edinburgh. I am sure I will be back!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at No 11, and can't rate it highly enough. It's has a great location only 10 minutes walk from the centre. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, and a breathtakingly beautiful suite. We stayed in room 6, for a little extra cost it's definitely worth it for the beautiful floor to ceiling windows...

Our room was under the dining room in the basement and could hear the chairs being moved the whole night. My venison was bloody and undercooked and asked to have it cooked slightly more it came back tough.

Just one night here on a trip around the UK. Lovely hotel with some interesting history .. intimate feel without intrusiveness, staff were friendly and appropriately attentive. Our room was large, clean, nicely appointed, and comfortable. I took advantage of the nice tub for a bath, which was a treat on the trip.

Breakfast staff was amazing. First breakfast was very good, but the second was a let down. They served old fruit salad and mouldy bread. Dinner was very good, but the 20% discount we were informed about before we ordered didn't apply. So why make such a big thing out of it? Rooms were clean and big, but a bit noisy.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your breakfast but sorry to read that the second breakfast was below standard. This has been brought to the attention of the head chef. The 20% discount is a great offer if a guest is wanting to dine after 6.30pm or only wants one...

We LOVED this hotel. It was on a nice quiet street, just minutes from the Royal Mile. It was so nice to escape the chaos of people on the Mile, and just relax in our beautifully appointed room. We'd asked specifically for a King Sized bed, unheard of in most UK hotels. We had a spacious room, very gracious hosts,...

Our party of four booked two rooms for our stay of 7 nights in early September. We were treated very well by the friendly and helpful staff. Special requests and calls for taxis were never a problem. The rooms were beautifully remodeled old high ceiling rooms with comfort and charm. The rooms had luxury baths and everything was very clean...

We stayed overnight in Edinburgh after a long day of travel. Accomodations were lovely despite a third floor walk up (no biggie, it's good for us!) We enjoyed the full Scottish breakfast the next morning. Staff were very helpful, friendly folks and even let us borrow their only Collins map of the city. :) Thanks for a nice stay!
