This lovely guest house completely exceeded our expectations! We originally made the reservation here as we were looking for somewhere to stay when we had our rental car. After our great visit, we wished we had stayed longer than the one night we had booked. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully furnished - with a great view of Arthur’s...

We went to Edinburgh for long Valentines weekend and decided to stay at Barony House. Not that we celebrate Valentine’s Day as one does in America, but it is a good excuse to get a way and spend some time together. Staying at the Barony House, turned out to be a wise decision. We booked the Royal Double suit online...

The building itself is beautiful and the room was perfect. Paul was an amazing host from beginning to end. On arrival Paul spent time with us giving all recommendations of what...

We only stayed 1 night in Edinburgh and Paul welcomed us very warmly, giving us some great tips on local pubs and what to do in Edinburgh. Breakfast was amazing, room clean and tidy although a bit dated (not an issue, just not for everyone's taste). For the price and after spending a week in other B&Bs around Scotland, it's...

From initial booking to leaving with a huge smile on our faces, the entire stay at barony house was grand. The usual requirements of clean and comfortable are unquestionably well met. The extra touches, such as reserving a parking place, providing home made and utterly delicious and beautifully presented breakfasts, and ensuring our little one was taken care of were...

Fantastic place to stay. Paul is a great host, friendly, helpful and very knowledgable about places to visit. Our "Royal" room had an amazing view of Arthur's Seat. Breakfast was as good as any 5 star hotel - at a fraction of the cost !! We would certainly come back to Barony House and highly recommend it !!!

Arrived on a very sunny day mid-afternoon on our mini tour of Scotland. We were welcomed by Paul who has moved over here with his lovely family from Australia. Well what can I say. Ignore what they say about the Australians (joke Paul). Paul is incredibly welcoming and VERY helpful. He had all the information needed re: transport into Edinburgh,...

The breakfast was excellent and set us both up very well for the day. The location looks a little out of the city but we found it perfectly placed and easy to get back to in...
