The room was clean and the hosts VERY nice, however the shower was horrible and was either ice cold or scorching hot. Quiet room with super comfortable bed/linens and breakfast was delicious!! The room was small but for a place to lay your head, it was clean and cozy.

We loved the location on the edge of town. Parking is included and we did not move the car for three days. We were welcomed by both Fiona and Jimmy and felt right at home. She gave us an intro to the place and also to managing Edinburgh. There is a comfortable sitting room downstairs and the breakfast room. Our...

I've just been a guest of this guesthouse and highly recommend it. The house is in a strategic position (30 minutes walk to the Royal Mile Market or bus stop within walking distance), near the centre but in a quiet place. The guesthouse is very welcoming and treated. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is delicious....

I booked with an online agency and on arrival I was informed that it had been necessary to re-arrange the bookings and I was offered an upgrade - at no additional cost. Instead of having the single room I’d paid for I was offered a ‘superior’ room with a four-poster bed. (The owners advised me, for future occasions, that booking...

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Scotland. We stayed at Glenalmond House for 9 days while we toured the highlights of Scotland. From the start of our stay, our experience was great. The hosts, Jimmy and Fiona, are friendly, helpful, efficient, and accommodating including the staff that work for them. Our room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable....

We stayed for 3 nights in this lovely B&B. The double room (opposite to the road) was quiet, clean and very comfortable even if it was a bit small to put our luggage. There is a lot of choice for the breakfast : scottish breakfast, vegetarian breakfast, pancakes, or waffles. A free parking is in front of the house, which...

We stayed here for 3 nights the beginning of June. The house is located in a nice leafy residential neighbourhood with bus service right outside the door or a pleasant 20 minute walk to the city centre. Our room had a 4 poster bed and was immaculate with all the amenities expected including a mini fridge which came in handy....
