Stayed for one night, flying visit basically. Found keys in secure entrance locker & accessed room easily. The room was warm & very comfortable, with no noise from other rooms. I'd definitely book again, good value for money.

A lovely guest house. There was supposed to be 4 of us staying there but ended up with just 2 of us. The room was lovely and the bathroom was spot on. Could not fault this place APART from when we were trying to sleep, the radiator would start making a random clicking noise which wasn't quiet.

I came with my family for a 2 night weekend stay at Mcgregors guest house. Me and my family enjoyed our stay, the room was clean and nicely made when we entered. The young lady who worked there was helpful with anything we asked. Me and my family would definitely stay here if we visit Edinburgh again.

After spending a few nights at this awful house, we found itchy spots on our skin. We showed them to a doctor who said that these bites are by bed bugs.... Unfortunately we have brought home some in our bags and since then we have been suffering and trying to kill all of them. We have already spent almost £100...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few nights, lovely old building, clean rooms and comfy beds. The price was excellent, the lady on the front desk was pleasant, the only downside to this hotel was the location, as we had decided to walk there it was quite far, however it didn't take long to hop on any of...

Don't stay here. I made the mistake, it won't be happening again. We booked months earlier because it served breakfast, and had the email confirmation but much to our surprise they don't serve after Oct. 1st. I also, although grateful for free wifi had to sit outside the room in the hallway in order to get service. The young lady...

I booked the room as bed and breakfast, but upon arrival I was informed that from that week they don't serve breakfast. They refused any compensation for that, staff and management were unhelpful and rude. Their website still showed bed and breakfast service, which was confusing... The room was really bad: hole on the ceiling in the bathroom, stain of...

If you want a clean, comfortable, quiet room for circ £50 per night then this is for you. If you do not want a brisk 20 minute walk to The Royal Mile and a hot freshly cooked breakfast everyday then choose somewhere else. Their breakfast of cereal, toast, packet croissants is not what you expect from a family run Scottish...
