This was our second trip to Edinburgh and we stayed at the Royal Mile Mansion again, only for 10 days instead of 3. As before, it is the perfect location for seeing Scotland. We hopped trains and buses, located a block or so from the...More
What a lovely pad. Stayed here with my hubbie for a couple of nights for a special birthday and concert trip. Were met by Graeme who had brought us some breakfast things and explained how everything worked etc. and then left us to it. Great...More
This apartment is perfect. Graeme actually found us pulling our luggage up The hill from the bus stop. The location is perfect for walking to the Castle or to the Palace. Everything worked great. There were even umbrellas for the day it rained.
The apt is large and in a great location. If you prefer having a place to yourself and being able to cook, etc, it's very well equipped. It was quiet and comfortable. We bought groceries and cooked two dinners there (also made breakfast each morning)....More

Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the
royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
