Unfair on my part to comment on the stay as I was there only for few hrs . But that few hrs were definitely great. Nice place , cozy bed , nice room and good staff.
No complaints with the place or any staff. Good...More
Very corporate feeling, don't go there unless you are a business traveller and this is going on expenses. Longue bar overwhelmed with loud, suited types, fond of own voices, very poor, cold, cooked breakfast and dreadful coffee, at £16.50 each was a rip off. Deluxe...More
It's about a 20 min bus ride into the city but complimentary overnight parking makes it ideal for airport proximity or, as in my case, a place to break a long drive from Broadford in Skye to Durham. It also means group tours use this...More
I recently spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is very well located near to the airport - one quick buyer beware the cab ride from the airport to the hotel should be around 8 UK pounds. I was charged 17, ah well you live...More
Nice hotel and convenient to restaurants and pubs. Rooms were well decorated and beds were comfortable. The only downside was the orientation of the bathroom sink, I couldn't bend over to shave or wash my face without hitting my head on the mirror. Strange design....More

It depends which train station you get off at; it's closer to Haymarket than to Waverley, but either way you will probably need to get a taxi or a bus. I would recommend the airport bus, number 100, which runs every 10 minutes from right outside both train stations, and stops right outside the Marriott hotel. A very efficient service, clean and modern buses with wifi and comfortable seats, and reasonably priced. It's a fair distance by taxi and will probably cost you around £15 from the city centre, whereas the bus is only £2.30 per person, an absolute bargain.
