We stayed at 27 Morningside for one night in Dec 2011. A 15 minute bus ride from the city centre, with plenty of buses to choose from and in a really interesting part of the city with lots of individual shops. We were headed to a party in Craiglockhart, to where we were more than prepared to walk the 1.5...

We stayed with Julie and Ron for four nights in November and it was just perfect: The rooms are very clean, we got some treats every days (Lindt chocolates and wonderful cookies!) and the en-suite bathrooms were a real pleasure. There's a flat screen TV with a wide range of channels in every room, the heating works just fine and...

After a long journey to Edinburgh it was nice to be warmly greeted by Ron and Julie and offered a very welcome pot of tea. This welcome was typical of the warmth and friendly atmosphere we enjoyed throughout our stay. We booked the king room and the quality and attention to detail was second to none, from the very comfortable...

Julie & Ron (the owners) made us feel like returning friends on our fist visit! Nothing is too much trouble for this friendly couple. The rooms are clean and bright, with wonderfully comfortable beds & pillows. At just over 2.5 miles from Princes Street and on a regular bus route it offers the perfect blend of city break without the...

Recently we stayed for three nights at Number 27 Morningside, Edinburgh. We were welcomed by our host, Ron, and given a most welcome pot of tea. (We had travelled for over 8 hours so this was particularly appreciated). The room was pleasant although not over large - we had tried to secure the king-size room but it was already booked....

Ron and Julie are the consummate hosts. The home has been renovated perfectly for guests and their touches in every room are endearing, as well as their taste in restaurants and shopping haunts. Each time we asked their opinion we were impressed by their knowledge of the area and attention to detail. The home is within walking distance of fabulous...

From the moment I arrived I felt like I was staying with friends rather than a B&B. Ron & Julie were fantastic hosts and did all they could to make me feel comfortable and welcome. I was in the twin Room which faced onto Comiston Road and they only draw back was the noise of the traffic. It was comfortable,...

Number 27 offers comfort and class at great value. The owners have tastefully restored this beautiful old house and the feel is homely and welcoming. The room was a good size with a lovely en suite with all necessary showering toiletries provided. The breakfast was served on beautiful crockery and the fresh fruit, granola and yogurt was a welcome addition...

We chose Number 27 Morningside for its location and convenience to the centre of Edinburgh (and it's excellent rating in TripAdvisor of course). It was easy to find driving up from the south. Once we parked the car, that is where it remained for our 4 night stay here. With regular buses to the centre of Edinburgh just outside, a...
