Last December, my mother and I were extremely impressed with the "festive afternoon tea" at Norton House. After such an enjoyable previous experience we decided to revisit for afternoon tea last Friday. Unfortunately this did not live up to our previous visit. The hotel itself was very busy which is understandable for a Friday however we felt that we were...

I had high expectations of this hotel and for the most part I wasn´t dissappointed. On arrival I must say that I had probably the nicest welcome to a hotel I have ever had. The gentleman behind the desk was professional and friendly. he gave us all the information we needed and even carried my bag to my room. I...

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and facilities. We were given a complementary upgrade to the Edinburgh suite which was beautifully furnished with lovely countryside views. The staff were friendly and attentive and the Spa facilities (pool, jacuzzi and gym) were excellent. We had one small problem with the bathroom TV and concierge were there within 5 mins....

Stayed at Norton House for a 1 night work trip. It's a traditional looking hotel but has been modernised without losing its charm. The reception & restaurant were spotless clean with pleasant, efficient staff. It's set in lovely, well tended grounds & I easily found a 6k run circuit. A colleague went to the very modern spa which he said...

Got married here in July. The venue is beautiful, surrounded by lovely grounds and other than the odd plane flying overhead you would think you were in the middle of the country. The rooms were brilliant, very clean and well presented. The staff are the icing on the cake. They couldn't do enough for us (I know it was our...

We stayed at the Norton House for two nights during our 10 day tour of Great Britain, and it was by far my favorite place of all the hotels. After staying at two places I considered subpar, I looked forward to the Norton House, and it didn't disappoint me. Our room was the first that was up to the standard...

A tired hotel although very handy to the airport and better than some others without character and quiet. Needs some attention to detail and the staff need to up their act. Simply put it does not flow as a hotel and lacks depth of service or look, a shame as it used to set a very high standard.
