Situated in one of Edinburgh's finest Georgian streets this is a rare combination, the charm of a country house hotel with a cosy club atmosphere. Founded in 1919 as a tribute to those who fell in The Great War The Royal Scots Club is proud of its heritage. Courtesy, personal service and warm hospitality are at the very heart of the Club.

This is a wonderful pace to stay. Not a hotel, but better service than most hotels, and a unique atmosphere and history. It is dignified, sober, and reserved. I heard one guest describe it as 'snobby' and 'boring'. I can understand why they said that, but I couldn't disagree more. The person with that opinion was wearing a 'Come on England Euros 2020 t-shirt. They were staying in the wrong place for them. I'll definitely stay again. I recommend it to anyone who wants somewhere unique and dignified to stay. Great value too.

The Royal Scots Club is a sensible mix of formal and informal. Ideally placed it is also outstanding value for money. Treat yourself to Room 3, a room with a four poster bed and comfy armchairs. And the full Scottish breakfast is excellent.

Spent 3 days in Town Centre as had to cancel another trip due to COVID. Really relaxing, lovely views over the gardens. Definately worth a visit, 5 mins walk from Princes St other attractions within walking distance.

An excellent location and facility for business meetings or family visits to Edinburgh. Service, staff, food and accommodation is excellent. Be warned, the council roadside parking charges are £15 per 4 hours with a limit of 4 hours and traffic wardens circulating almost every hour even when it is quiet.
