Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.

Booked a standard room with a window. We came and only used the room to book another hotel - what a closet. A 120cm bed advertised as a two person bed. You cannot be in the room standing together at the same time. A waste of money.

Dear Brenda, We are sorry to hear that our hotel did not meet your expectations. As a super-budget hotel, we offer compact rooms with minimal facilities. In regards to your comment about the room size and extra charges, we do provide information of all room dimensions on our website to ensure guests are fully informed when making a booking. The website also provides information about the extra charges like TV, WIFI and luggage storage. This is also explained in the Guest Folder provided to all, at the check-in. Each of our rooms is equipped with air conditioning/heating system. The temperature can be adjusted by reception staff when requested. Our rooms are compact but because of that we can offer good rates right in the heart of the city center. We understand this concept is new to most people, this is why we place such an importance on reading all the information opposed to checking only the location and price. Thank you for your time. Best Regards, easyHotel Edinburgh Team
