I had bought a friend a voucher from the prestonfield website for afternoon tea for three at the start of March 2017 and booked for us to go on 23 April 2017. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely door man and taken to our seats. I have visited twice before and received fantastic service, so was expecting the...

We stayed for a long weekend at Prestonfield House and felt right at home. Rooms are very spacious and nicely decorated with all the amenities expected at a 5star hotel. Breakfast offers a lot of choices and the friendly staff will go out of their way to tailor all options to your wishes. I asked for grapefruit juice the first...

At first sight, fantastic. Sitting gorgeous, views exceptionnel. Menu delicious. Very good trained and courteous personnel. Wine list, take your time. Just loved the outside when you have to drive by an alley and then you see a historic place like this. Trees, some hundred years old, like the construction himself. Look it up on the net, it's perfect.

The standards rooms are better than most 5* suites. Sumptuous, decadent, with complementary daily champagne. Staff went out if their way to make everything perfect. Couldn't fault it. Can't wait to return.

Was here for an evening Gala not staying overnight. The event was very well run and food and service was excellent. The buildings lend themselves well to such an event and they create a feeling of drama in the way they light the place for evening events.

The Prestonfield experience is sumptuous and rich without being pompous or smothering. The staff are bright and friendly and eternally discreet, the food is delicious and well worth a 3 hour sitting to savour every mouthful and moment (which I did!) and the décor throughout is just stunning with attention lavished generously over every wonderful inch of the place. Loved...

Went here to celebrate my wife's 60th birthday and had a fantastic time. Brilliant old fashioned hotel with service the number one priority (no pool or gym - great!) and all the staff were superb. Tremendous dinner and breakfast next morning. We were in the Lord Provost Suite which was beautiful and the whole hotel is sumptuous, with fabulous fresh...

I haven't stayed here, but have been here for business on a number of occasions, and also attended the Scottish Politician of the Year dinner. This was sited in a dedicated function facility separate from the main hotel, with pre-dinner drinks in a stylish marquee. The evening was expertly handled by charming and helpful staff, and food was considerably better...

The interior of every room and hall is exquisite. The smells of fresh flowers and aromas in the rooms are simply amazing. Lovely place for walks with so many peacocks, magpies, and other animals. I couldn't get enough of the place and impulsively extended my stay.
