The Radisson Blu is perfectly situated to make the most of your stay in Edinburgh. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the staff are friendly and helpful. But it was the little things that stand this hotel apart. Many thanks for putting the thought into have a chick egg incubator in your hotel lobby. This was the highlight of...

Hi Cool-Clarkes, Thank you for taking the time to leave us some lovely feedback following your recent stay with us. I am delighted to see that you enjoyed your stay and that our 'wee' Peep of chicks helped you get into the Easter spirit. They are very cute and we are growing very attached to them. After their 4* stay...

Location really is Ideal, right on the Royal Mile. I was here for business, but would make a perfect holiday spot. Good sized room Plenty of plugs & sockets Big TV, + ability to connect your own device into it. WiFi worked well Didn't have a chance to visit the Leisure Facilities, but they looked good, and the Opening Times...

You can't get more central to the action of Edinburgh. We had the joy of watching many parades and marches down the main street from the window of our room.A very nice bar and restaurant to relax in. Brekfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The Car Park can be tricky to find as it is down one of the tiny side streets....

Friends and I spent the weekend at the Radisson Blu Edinburgh, as I have stayed several times before, and always found it excellent, whether as a social or Conference venue. Today however, I was overwhelmed by the service offered by the staff. I would particularly like to thank the young man on reception (at 1pm), who offered to get the...

We decided to stay at this hotel following our break at the Radisson in London last year. The building and architecture both inside and out were breathtaking, it was a lovely hotel with a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were very accommodating and the rooms were clean, however, the coffee/tea and shampoo or towels etc were not replenished. Was quite noisy...

Summary: This hotel is a lovely hotel. Its location on the royal mile, near north bridge, makes it ideally located for access to all the town centre amenities. The rooms have plentiful power points, HDMI connection point, large LCD TV and a bath/shower. It was a little odd that there is no MiniBar in the room but your close enough...

I'm not familiar with the Radisson Blu concept, so maybe it's just a matter of expectations. The hotel itself, like all the architecture in Edinburgh, is a beautiful building. The exterior matches the classical architecture of the city, while the interior is well outfitted in the current modern trend. We stayed in a junior suite in March 2017. This review...

From the location to the location to the location! Modern facilities and clean rooms! Spacious and great views. Staff are courteous and very accommodating. The restaurant in hotel has the best servers and bartenders! Very efficient engaging and easy on the eyes. Recommend the "gin Thistle" not sure what's in it, but it's good!

Characterless decor at reception/lobby. Bar also disappointingly lacking in character. This, however, did not reflect the rooms which were very comfortable, clean and air conditioned. Staff very friendly and efficient..

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
