I really enjoyed my stay, the thrill to sleep in a building that ones was a prison was awesome! All the facilities were supper clean & with Covid still in place it felt good. The team on the reception were very friendly and accommodating when I asked to change my pod due to an issue I was having. Great value for money and perfect location 👌

BEDROOMS: The rooms were very comfortable. The pods were very cosy and they shut out the noise and light that can be a nuisance in normal hotel rooms, plus they give you some privacy. The WIFI is great. The lockers are big enough for bags and they are locked with a code so no need to bring a lock. There’s plenty of space in the room too and lots of plugs for everyone! SHARED BATHROOMS: I never had to queue for a shower/toilet although I was visiting post-lockdown so the hostel was at reduced capacity. The power showers were excellent and warm. My only wish was that they would be cleaned/restocked a bit more regularly as there were a few times when the toilet paper/hand wash had run out. AMENITIES AND STAFF: There is a well-stocked kitchen if you prefer to make your own meals with some sitting space - although if the hostel was at full capacity there definitely isn’t enough break our space for everyone. Luggage storage was super helpful as Edinburgh is way too hilly and cobbled for me to be lugging around a suitcase. There is a lift and accessible toilets but I wouldn’t say the hostel is fully accessible for wheelchair users as there are heavy doors and steps to the outside. Staff were very helpful and informative, there was even a number for you to whatsapp them on if there was an issue. The hostel was super chilled and respectful. Would definitely stay here again when I’m back in Edinburgh!

My first night's sleep was really bad, as I was on the first floor. There's no door to the stairs, which kept me up all night. The staff were great and moved me up to the second floor the next night, where I had a great sleep! It's something to keep in mind when you're looking for a room at this hostel. The beds were super comfy, really glad for the curtain at the end, and they followed COVID-19 guidelines really well. Lovely staff, lovely place, and I met lovely people! Would highly recommend this hostel.

Located right in the centre of Edinburgh's historic old town. The pod beds offer complete privacy with charging slots and comfy bedding. The staff are very accommodating, full of local knowledge and easy to share a conversation with. The lounge is modern yet still cosy and warm, next door the kitchen facilities are equipped with all the necessities needed for home cooking. I would highly recommend staying at this hostel. Bobby :)

The overall experience is okay, but the rooms should be cleaned and ventilated much more often. There was a quite nasty smell from dirty socks as I checked in, floor was sticky and had food litter on it. The staff was friendly and ready to help.
