We arrived at the B & B and was met by a lovely man. Although we were early for check in, the rooms were ready. Lovely big room, spotless. Backroom a little small but more than ample for your needs. We were also provided with a map of the area and advised which buses to take and how much they...

We can't fault this guest house, good location, it's on a bus route, virtually outside the front door, but if you feel energetic you can walk into Edinburgh, takes about 15-20mins. It's a well run establishment, very friendly staff, good sized rooms, well laid out with everything you need. Varied choice for breakfast, Scottish breakfast was really good and set...

Friday to Sunday weekend away to sample Edinburgh. Arrived late afternoon to a very friendly welcome. Our room was number 6, on the second floor. The room was lovely, large comfy bed with cracking views across the city. Bathroom was very clean and well equipped. Minor issue with hot water in the afternoon of Saturday, but worked well on Sunday...

We thoroughly enjoyed our city break at Martins. Great value for money in a good location for getting into the city centre. Room was lovely and clean with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was fab, with a great choice and all freshly prepared with local produce. Parking was a bit tight at the back of the building. Would definitely return...

We stayed at the guest house for 4 nights over New year. And could not fault it. The staff were welcoming friendly and very attentive. We arrived at the guest house early, hours before the specified check-in time but they had the flexibility to give us our room which was very much appreciated after our early flight. We stayed in...

Spent one night at Martin's while visiting Edinburgh and could not fault the place. The welcome we received was extremely warm and the staff couldn't do enough to help us. Breakfast was lovely and Princes street is around a 20 minute walk away, or £4 ish in an Uber! Will be returning soon!

Just stayed at this guest house for the 1 night and overall very pleased with our accommodation. We stayed in the "cottage " which is in the rear garden and consists of 2 bedrooms with one with a kitchenette and bathroom with shower. Room was warm and comfortable and had wifi. Breakfast was served in the main house and Stephen...

I was there for a week at the beginning of september: the location is quite close to the city center and in a quiet neighbourhood. Since few months there has been a new management: the staff is really kind and helpful. The hall and the rooms I lived were cozy, clean and with old-fashioned but nice forniture; comfortable beds but...
