I start by saying that when I made the reservation I didn't get the real feeling that it would be a hostel (booked on another platform where the accommodation name is slightly different), even though I chose the private room option. The room was quite simple, no TV, very clean but I point out the minuscule shower. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to check all the facilities of this place. At the reception, 24/7, friendly and helpful young staff. Both check in and check out process was quite efficient. They offer free water, coffee, tea and a small bottle to take our drinks. Not too far from the Old Town, about 20 minutes walk, next to several restaurants and coffees, with "Costa" right outside the door. Perhaps my evaluation is not fair, and even considering that my stay was during Fringe 2019, I think the price I paid is quite high, given the location, room and the fact that I was not entitled to breakfast.

I had a great stay at this hostel during the Edinburgh festival. The rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet, despite the number of people staying. The staff were also welcoming and helpful, especially with recommendations and local knowledge. Good self catering facilities are available and there are plenty of places to sit and relax. A lovely stay.

We had a modern, very clean and comfortable en suite room. Noise wasn't an issue but it might have been if you wanted to sleep with the window open as the hostel is next to a busy road. Very frequent and inexpensive (not privatised) buses stop near the hostel and take you all over the city 24/7. We ate a tasty, good value evening meal and had a cooked breakfast; both were much better that I would expect from a hostel. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful.

Clean, tidy & welcoming to all. Beds are comfortable & staff/volunteers very helpful to visitors to the city. Enjoyed seeing new sights in the city as well as undertaking The Kiltwalk, Edinburgh. This is my 2nd stay here. Have to say that the self service kitchen was double the size before but they do now provide more food on the premises.

We stayed at this hostel and were very satisfied with the service, cleanliness, helpful staff and also good food. It is just a few minutes away by walk from the Old Town, so the location is great. Also the price is very good. Hotels in August are sky high in Summer in Edinburgh, and it was great that we booked this hostel. Our rooms were all with private bathroom, so comfortable just as a hotel room. Highly recommended.
