We, two friends, stayed mid April in Garlands guest house. We truly enjoyed the stay. The accomodation is clean, nicely decorated, friendly and a large breakfast menu is available. We just had one minor point which was the reception of the wifi signal on the top floor. Reception was poor, but did work. Not a major issue as in the...

We stayed at Garlands Guest House during Easter Holidays for three days. We were given the room at the top floor. The room was clean and comfy. The two owners, Bill and Ian, were very helpful and polite, provided with maps and information about the city. The full english breakfast was a good way to start your day but generally...

I really enjoyed my stay at Garlands Guest House. It is only a short walk (max 15 min) to the main Shopping Street. Many good Pubs and Restaurants are in that area too. Bill's breakfast was very delicious. Bill even reminded us about the time change which was happening that night, to make sure we are not going to be...

The owner, Bill, was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. The house is absolutely gorgeous, amazing staircase and beautiful breakfast room with curved wall. Great use of colour...

More than a bed and breakfast, Garlands Guest House is an opportunity to enjoy the Art of Living. Bill really is the perfect host, and will make your stay a pleasure and a cherished memory. Nothing is too much trouble, and just wait till you sample his porridge! I thought I knew about porridge, but at Garlands I found another...

The guesthouse is situated in a place close to city centre. Most buses on Leith Walk go to city centre and it only takes 5 minutes by bus to get there. I stayed in a single room. It was well furnished and comfortable. Duvet is so soft and the room is so quiet that I really had a good sleep....

My friend Joe and I stayed in the twin room at the top of the house- it was fab! Bill is so friendly and goes out of his way to be there and help you if you need anything. He let us leave our luggage behind on the day of check out when we had a late night flight. Our...

Garlands has a very good location on the border between Broughton and Leith with excellent bus connections to the centre, which can also easily be reached on foot. Parking space is plenty on Pilrig street. The public area and the rooms are decoreted and mantaines with obvious loving care. My room seemed to have been recently renovated and refurbished. Cleanlyness...

Garlands Guesthouse is a truly wonderful place with a cozy and elegant atmosphere. The rooms are tastefully decorated, spacious and very clean. We could really see that the host Bill has given a lot of thought into what guests would need to have a comfortable stay and this we had. Bill was very friendly and made us feel very welcome....
