I have stayed here on quite a few occasions and it is a Hotel which is rich in history (it goes far as back as Winston Churchill staying there!) I like it because it is full of character and the rooms are large enough and clean. It is also handy as it is situated in the cultural quarter of the...

The hotel is off a traditional style but is very spacious and very clean. The staff were great and efficient. We only had breakfast in the hotel on the sat this was to order but a buffet on the Sunday. The quality was great both days but I preferred the cooked to order option.

The decor is definitely in need of an update, but the hotel has great features to it as well (e.g. the staircase, windows). Overall, it's a great place if you want something comfortable, affordable, and convenient for the town centre (e.g. for tourists) and for the University of Dundee (literally on your doorstep), and don't mind the odd flaw.

Stayed for a long weekend. The room was adequate size and furnishings were just fine. The maid service was excellent and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Just great, in fact! The hotel is older and unfortunately the floorboards creaked quite badly in the room we were in. This would not stop...

lovely hotel, we were here for 2 nights good facilities, friendly staff couldnt fault it. Only 10 mins walk to city centre. I had booked a twin room but we had a massive queen plus a single bed so lots of room etc. Didnt have the breakfast as we had a graduation lunch booked in the nosey parkers restaurant which...

We found the staff and the food quality soon over shadowed any little defects in the décor. Our room was clean and well cleaned each day. The staff were very helpful in every detail and Gordon and his staff cannot be faulted for their efforts.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. It looks great from the outside but once you get into the place, you soon start to regret it. My room was comfortable enough, but with wallpaper peeling of the walls and everything looking a bit yellow - it's in desperate need of a freshen up. My bathroom light was also broken, and...

This hotels very average. It offers sizeable rooms with a reasonable ensuite. The shower could do with having more pressure but otherwise it's functional. The dull depressing lighting of the room makes the environment a bit unwelcoming at night. I found the staff in this hotel to be a little bit rude. The receptionist did the bare minimum to welcome...

My wife and I stayed in this hotel during our daughters graduation. We booked just a couple of weeks prior to our stay and got the room for a very reasonable price considering everything else was booked up. Check in was very painless. We got a room with a view into the city centre and over the river Tay. Being...
