We stayed for two weeks and scratched the surface of what this area has to offer . Martin and Sharon are amazing hosts , what an amazingly beautiful place they have created - loved everything about our stay . Nothing too much trouble . We also brought our horse on holiday and liveried him at Lochhill , Ringford - which...

Very many thanks to Martin and Sharon following a great few days in Westwater Lodge. The cottage is cosy and charming, and a perfect place to escape from the stresses of daily life. During our stay the soundscape was little more than birdsong supported by the grazing of neighbouring cows and sheep, and the welcome pack of tasty goodies on...

We stayed at the Westwater Lodge for a mid-week break. This is a great place if you're looking for peace and quiet, all you can hear is the birds and that's it! Martin and Sharon are great, really welcoming hosts providing home-made bread and cheese plus wine as a welcome pack. Very helpful advice on places to visit and things...

We booked the waterhouse as a honeymoon, it is a little slice of heaven and the perfect place to escape and unwind. No tv or mobile signal meant that we had no distractions, I can't remember ever being so relaxed and happy.

Possibly the best place in the UK I have stayed in. Wonderful lodge with outdoor jacuzzi. Well-equipped kitchen, cosy sitting room and lovely double bedroom, with smaller bedroom with bunk beds. Owners were wonderful, gave us homemade bread and cake and were very helpful. Relaxing under the stars in the jacuzzi was fabulous. Scotland might not be the first place...

We stayed at the Waterhouse for 3 nights over the August bank holiday & I have to say- what an incredible place! Gorgeous, comfortable accommodation set in the most idyllic surroundings. There was a nest of baby swallows that we couldn't take our eyes off, bats circling the pond & we even saw the Milky Way from the hot tub!...

The weather was...
