If it's seafood that you want then I know of no better place to eat than the Kirkcudbright Bay. Pleasant staff and a warm and friendly atmosphere this place really punches above its weight. Breaded or battered haddock was a popular choice for our group but I had the swordfish special with a seafood pasta and it was absolutely excellent....

Love this place! We went to eat there more than anywhere else. People were always great and food was delicious. We have been there in 2009 and 2016. Same experience both times. We loved eating outside.

Had best cooked fish ever tasted. Ive lived in Ayr, Grimsby, and Inverness. All near the sea, So can say with all ease, this chef cooks great fish. Best mixed platter of diiffernt fish, even than in Greese .

Arrived on a busy Wednesday night and staff were really helpful finding me a place to eat. Decent home made food and great pint of Speckled Hen on draught . Friendly local hotel with good reputation recommended by my guest house. I was working away on business and had driven over 5 hours that day and really appreciated the reception

Based on good reviews we decided to eat at the Kirkcudbright Bay Hotel we did there best to fit us in at short notice. We ate there on a family holiday, five of us 7y/o to 70y/o with really differing taste in food (apart from the 7y/o nugget muncher). Booking early gets you into the conservatory, which is very nice....

The welcome and friendliness of staff (and the local people using the hotel) was exceptional. We were shown to our room and staff offered to carry our luggage. The room was spacious and well equipped. We ate in the hotel both nights. The food was fantastic, the quality and portion sizes were great and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was...

Had a few evening meals in the restaurant whilst self catering in Kirkcudbright. Always warmly welcomed, a standard menu and a specials board, there are not many tables so booking is advisable, Free parking in the surrounding streets.

This is our 3rd visit to The Bay, and the last times were great, but I am afraid standards have really dropped. Room looking very tired, very clean, but tired. Beds very low to the floor, also not very comfortable. Breakfast was dry and baked up, I did complain about it but was told A new breakfast chef. This was...
