Stopped here for one night, very warm and welcoming staff. The room was exceptionally large, nice decor, was a very pleasant surprise. We had our evening meal in the hotel, the food was very good, mine was fisherman so pie. The hotel was in an ideal spot to explore the area and handy for shops. Would definitely recommend it. Not... Just stopped here for lunch on some local advice. Excellent service and food at decent prices. Not one thing to be unhappy about 👍 We would recommend the sea food sharing platter ☺ We have paid a lot more for less enjoyable food in many other places. Highly recommended😀

Very warm and welcoming, excellent food and clean, comfortable rooms. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Great value for money. I would highly recommend Kirkcudbright Bay Hotel to anyone visiting the south of Scotland.

Called in for an early lunch after a long walk. We were first to arrive and were a wee bit apprehensive but the young couple who greeted us couldn't have been more welcoming. We settled for a seat in the conservatory. The place was soon full of other people, some of whom were clearly regulars which we took to be... More

Warm welcome and friendly service and a good cooked breakfast. However rooms lack basic comforts such as somewhere to hang your towels, no waste bins and no double glazing so we were awake at 5am with the local deliveries!!

We were a bit taken aback when we arrived to this hotel as it looks very shabby from the outside and the upper dormers are in very poor repair. When we got inside our impression seemed correct as the small bar was crowded and the reception was the back of the bar. However we were taken upstairs to Room1 which... More

Upstairs bedroom overlooking the main street, comfortable and well appointed. Only drawback was poor television reception. Free wifi easily accessible. The restaurant is surprisingly busy with the locals.- book in advance to avoid disappointment. Food was good and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially the manager. Bar regulars also friendly and welcoming. Plenty of parking spaces (free) on... More

If it's seafood that you want then I know of no better place to eat than the Kirkcudbright Bay. Pleasant staff and a warm and friendly atmosphere this place really punches above its weight. Breaded or battered haddock was a popular choice for our group but I had the swordfish special with a seafood pasta and it was absolutely excellent.... More

Love this place! We went to eat there more than anywhere else. People were always great and food was delicious. We have been there in 2009 and 2016. Same experience both times. We loved eating outside.
