This is a review of the restaurant, not the hotel; although if the restaurant is anything to go by then the hotel is pretty damn good. You enter a fairly normal, unexceptional, roomy bar area where dogs are welcome, but once you pass through into the restaurant the transformation is amazing. It's well appointed and comfortably furnished with crisp, clean...

Have stopped here for lunch a few times now as it's a nice friendly relaxing pub & have always enjoyed the food, my latest visit was no exception, traditional pub food freshly prepared & tasty, there prices are mid-range but worth it, good service too.

Pensioner? Go Thursday lunchtime for pensioners lunch. Main course and tea or coffee for £5.50 Excellent value. Pensioners in Gatehpuse must have good appetites. Staff very friendly and dogs welcome We live in Dalbeattie and try to go every other Thursday.

The Bank of Fleet Hotel is actually a pub offering accommodation rather than an hotel in the usual sense. It is neither swank or cosmopolitan, having more of an 'old world' feel. Having said that it has a lot going for it. Our room was anything but modern yet was comfortable, well equipped and clean with enough towels in the...

Me and the Mrs were staying local and popped in here for a drink. After having a drink in the garden, we decided to eat in the restaurant. We shared a cheesy garlic bread to start and then for the main course, I had the BOF Smokie which was very tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. My wife had the beef...

Popped in while on a short break in Gatehouse. Best was good, food menu appeared to be interesting and thought I would try the liver & onions the next day as we had already eaten. Unfortunately on our return there was no food available due to two private functions so will have to wait until our next visit to the...

Nice place for a simple but excellent value for money pub meal. Had a couple of meals here during the last couple of weeks and been happy both times. You really do get value for money portions. Dog friendly as well. You are welcome to take your dog into the bar.
