Visited with husband and 2 kids for a 1night stay. Hotel under refurbishment and its going to be fabulous once completed. Room spacious and clean. Bed fabulously comfortable an enormous! Linen and towels spotless. Bathroom a bit tired but clean and functional with plenty hot water. Bar food was delicious with attentive and extremely friendly staff. Couldn't have been more...

The Hetland Hall hotel is right next to the main A75 road from Gretna to Stranraer but has the feeling of being away from it all as it's in its own grounds. It is a traditional grand country house with a huge staircase in the centre. It has a large, yet cosy lounge with a bar and a roomy restaurant....

Had a lovely lunch in this hotel although maybe a wee bit pricey but enjoyed it anyway , the staff were nice especially Liam and the surroundings were clean and tidy. The hotel is a bit dated but I can see renovations are underway so will certainly visit again.

Late booking via an itison voucher, £69 DBB. But when I rang prior to purchasing voucher to ascertain availability, Kayleigh, who answered the phone said that I could do it then and there at price of voucher. Great! We had to access hotel from rear as lots if work underway and front car park out of use. Not an issue....

Although currently under refurbishment could not fault hotel, and after refurbishment will be even more amazing. Lisa on reception could not be faulted, helpful, happy and always smiling and nothing too much trouble. Lisa went above and beyond, the food was excellent, the staff great and cannot wait for the new refurbished, as we said we will be back

Had a two night cheap deal for this hotel. Got a bit of a shock when we arrived as we didn't know it was getting renovated. It didn't spoil our time there. Room was a bit dated but was very comfortable and clean. We didn't expect a superior room as we had our dog in tow. The hotel is very...

The grounds of the hotel are gorgeous and the hotel is very clean, for us, that's about where the pleasantries stopped. Checking in we were told that the next morning there would be work going on in the function room below our room (14) and to expect some noise. We accepted this as surely In a hotel there would be...

The hotel is under refurbished. But that did not detract from the nice time we had here. Its situated in a beautiful part of the countryside. Night skies are spectacular. The staff were very nice and friendly. Helpful, especially regarding surrounding area. The hotel! Will be stunning once finished. There was a wedding function on when we arrived Saturday. They...

As others have said the hotel is going through a refurbishment and after a sneak peak at the finished function room its going to be beautiful when finished. However the refurb didnt affect our stay at all. The staff were brilliant, happy, friendly & helpful..you couldnt ask for...
