Stayed here overnight with my mother. We got lost in Hawick so phoned the Guest House...no answer...within a few minutes Alan (who was taking his mum shopping) called us back, told us to stay where we were, he drove to us and guided us back to the guest house.Alan gave my mum and I adjoining rooms. Clean and tidy with...

I am puzzled by the reviews of this guest house. Seems there are 2 standards, one upstairs and one downstairs. Ours, downstairs, while clean and warm, was way under normal standards. Window blind broken, bedside light almost impossible to get my hand in to turn on, towels ragged and old, no way to get kettle filled with water except by...

What can I say about the breakfast, it was delicious and lots and lots of it. Alan is also helpful with information about the area. My husband...

We were so tired after the M6, and Alan greeted us wonderfully. His breakfast was 6-star, and his personality similar. It makes such a difference when the host has panache and the establishment lives up to description. If you're chatting with him get him to tell you the story about J.D. Wetherspoon, and also Alan's own attempt to make the...

He really could not have done more for us, including recommending good places for dinner. Breakfast was very good, exactly what we ordered! And definitley...

I stayed two nights, but quickly wished I could stay longer. From the first second I entered the house to the last, Allan, the host, did everything to make me feel at home. Warmhearted, attentive and more than friendly he made sure that I felt spoilt during my stay. My room was excellent, spotlessly clean, tastefully furnished with all the...
