The room was clean but small and basic which is reflected in the price. What I thought was the let down was the bfast. When I booked this it said the breakfast was brilliant however, in reality it was hard, cold pancakes and dry english muffins. I did not enjoy it. The wifi was also quite poor and kept dropping...

We stayed a night in a tiny room that looked like a students bedsit. Bedding very old and tired, duvet was torn. There was a screw sticking out the headboard. Breakfast served from 8am to 8.45am so we didn't bother. Wouldn't rush back

Me and my partner were completely shocked and disgusted at the state of the room that we were unfortunately allocated on arrival at the Alderlea guesthouse in Oban, and throughout our stay. the room was the size of a a cupboard and the toilet facilities were terrible and complete inadequate. Never in a million years was it a double bed...

This has to be by far the worst B&B I have ever stayed in. Had I known it was so bad (and checked out the reviews on here...silly mistake) I would have booked elsewhere.....a bus shelter would have provided better. Where do I start...the cooked breakfast that was (and still is) advertised is no longer available. The "continental" breakfast consisted...

Been to many B&Bs over the years ....this is by far the worst one. Cheap and nasty . Can't even say you get what you pay because we stayed in one the night before in Perth costing the exact amount . It was a million times better . This one was dirty we slept on top of bed with our...

Booked this place via a last minute deal. Knew as soon as we arrived that it was a mistake. After 8 weeks travelling UK & Ireland, this was absolutely the worst accommodation we have had. I will say that everything was clean, but the sheets & towels were old, mattress saggy, bed squeaked loudly with every movement. There was no...

My partner & I stayed stayed one night at this B&B. At first glance the Alderlea seems like ok value for money. Close to town, clean/neat, tiny ensuite but an ensuite none the less (& once again clean). However once it was time to call it a night & jump into bed, that's when the problems really started to arise....

Clean, handy located, friendly staff, but too pricy and breakfast was not available. Also you can hear everything that's happening outside the door. Wouldn't go there if anything else was available...

The room was very nice, the bed confortable and the classic Scottish breakfast very tasty. If you are travelling by car you have the advantage that just next to the BB it is a huge parking place. The shared bathroom is very clean!
