We stayed for three nights, this hotel is uncomplicated, the owners John and Helen genuinely want their guests to have a memorable stay. Their hospitality and customer service is absolutely great; friendly, cheerful and polite. The rooms are spotlessly clean, very comfortable and (room 8) decorated and designed very well. Each morning we received individual grab and go breakfast bags with well thought out varied contents. Certainly enough to start the day. John was engaging and very interesting to talk with. He gave us so much information about whisky and related it to our personal likes and dislikes, ‘ there is a whisky for everyone’. It certainly worked for us. The whole concept of the hotel has been so well thought about, all aimed at giving guests the best experience. A special mention to Katy, one of the staff, who also was delightful to talk with and had a wealth of knowledge about about whisky. The hotel is in a good position, near all of seafront Oban. We will definitely return and will recommend to everyone.

Really characterful hotel in the heart of Oban. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Staff looked after everyone extremely well. The well stocked bar (as the name suggests) is currently only open to residents and you have a table set aside for your own use. Take away breakfast bag is available for early departing guests.

This is a lovely small, friendly and comfortable hotel in the centre of Oban. The whisky bar is fab and John can tell you stories, give advice and share is expansive knowledge of the whisky industry. Also COVID measure are noticeably in place. Thank you and we will be back!!

We booked our stay in Oban quite late, through booking.com, and found a small room available at this hotel. When we arrived, the staff informed us that the room was actually not available, so we received an upgrade to a bigger room - always pleasant. The staff was extremely kind, and the breakfast - great. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and perfectly clean. We would absolutely recommend it!

We had been in Fort William and got bad luck as our campsite had flooded! So we decided to take a night in Oban. This hotel was lovely, the front desk were very informative and warned us about having to book a table as they were on reduced capacity. Our room was spacious and clean, lovely selection of teas and coffees which we very much appreciated. We also loved the little breakfast box in the morning outside our door. Albeit my boyfriend is allergic to dairy so only could have the fruit but it was a nice touch none the less :)
