Clean comfortable room with enormous bed and brilliant shower. Lovely lady on reception on checking in and then found her serving drinks in the bar later, long hours. Shame no umbrellas available for guests to borrow, maybe management could consider buying some. Parking is available to rear of hotel but there are no defined parking places and other guests parked inconsiderately so management maybe to consider defined parking spaces making it fair for everyone. Breakfast only available from 8am so although we had paid for breakfast we had to leave early the second morning so missed out. No offer of refund or continental breakfast box to go which was a shame. Hotel in good location near the centre, only 5 min walk to harbour

The hotel is in a convenient location to stay when visiting the area or if catching a ferry to the islands. Negative: breakfast starts at 8am so if you're catching an early ferry you will have to go without and there no "early opening" cafes in Oban either. Lots of positives: clean, modern, very large bed, and great friendly service.

My wife and I stayed at the Scot for a long weekend in June. Choosing a hotel in Oban is not easy as the choice is huge however we went with the Scot due to it having parking and being in the centre of Oban. This proved to be a wise decision as the hotel is ideally situated for getting around on foot, with bars, restaurants, shops aplenty and also only a 2 minute walk to the water front. The hotel itself is modern and contemporary in design and decoration, very clean throughout and all the staff were polite and friendly. We had a double room and found it spacious, clean and warm. We hadn't booked breakfast but had one on the Saturday and it was excellent, with quality ingredients well cooked. The only negatives were that we could see were a lack of draught beers in the bar area, which meant the bar was always empty when we saw it, and being on the first floor the occupants of the room directly above could be heard walking around on very squeaky floorboards.

Stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. Breakfasts were delicious. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, especially Attila. We really liked that the soaps in the bathroom were from the local highland soap co and not just a generic hotel soap brand, we would recommend going to check out their shop also.

Stayed a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The owners/staff are very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast was well worth the additional cost, real juice and well cooked high quality products. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing friendly place to stay.
