We stayed for one night. The guest house is clean, comfortable, the shower is pretty good and there was coffee, tea and biscuits in the room. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the pillows just perfect, so I enjoyed my sleep a lot! We decided not to bother with breakfast the next morning and enjoyed relaxing in... More

All in all the guesthouse is overpriced for what you get. We stayed two nights in the twinroom on the hingehst floor - Not recommended. The baathroom is pretty old and the water tab falling apart. The room is not decorated besides one tiny picture and has rather old and cheap furniture. The advertised tower view is only seeable by... More

Booked this last minute based on price and previous reviews , disappointed and underwhelmed, room was ok with private bathroom , smell of recent paint but not decorated to very high spec, the biggest disappointment was breakfast - continental style but with budget products , cheap bread which was stale , even noticed some mould , notified owner who removed... Great place with a terrific crew running the hotel. Good rooms, nice people, great ambiance. Many different people stay in this hotel: workers, backpackers, students and couples on holiday. This gives a nice blend and there are many rooms to get to know each other. The lady running the place is very nice.

The location is perfect right in front of the bay. We sat outside enjoying the summer weather and amazing sunset (mid August) drinking coffee in the evening. The rooms are cozy and nice, old-style. The single rooms are a bit small but that's OK. If you have a problem for carrying heavy things beware that there are a lot of... More

Stayed at Ayres Guesthouse for one night while on an overnight stay in Oban. The guesthouse was perfect for us, easy to find, fantastic location - less than 5 minutes to town. The room we had was a big double room with a sea view. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable and it had a bottle opener which... More

Nice single room with a view of the sea was great ! Pleasant owner and nice clean value for money room. Bonus was I could park my bike out front between the flower pots, local to all amenities in town and a great wee bar next door called markie dans. I was left to get on with it here which... More

Nice wee b&b in the perfect location for a short stay in Oban. Only stayed for one night but would definitely return. Our double room was a nice size with a lovely view. Not sure of the man/owner who checked us in but he was very welcoming and friendly. Coffee and cereal bars for breakfast suited us fine! Room (and... More

Great place to stay in Oban. Bryan could not have been a more gracious host. Walking distance to everything plus a great view of the water. Nice pub next door for outdoor drinks. Rooms were very clean. No cooked breakfast but no problem. The breakfast bars and coffee are all you need.
