My friend and I spent a lovely weekend at the Lorne View in Oban and we would highly recommend this accommodation. We stayed in Room 2 which is on the top floor of the B&B and has lovely views over Oban Bay. The room was lovely, tastefully furnished and had en-suite facilities. An excellent variety of other sundry items were... More

It was a litlle bit disappointing to not meet anybody in this wonderful hotel...key in the entrance, breakfast indication in a poster (The breakfast is in a coffee at 5mn down more in the city center and really it's really worth to go til there!) so a little bit impersonal....we didn't even know where to pay.... But the room was... More

The host appeared quite disinterested in the care of her guests. I booked a double and got a twin without contact beforehand to see if this was OK. There was no one to greet me so what were the parking arrangements? I am a senior and the place is OK for mountain goats not me -try getting back from the... More

We really enjoyed the town of Oban and the stay in Lorne View was one of the pleasures. The place is tastefully and functionally furbished. The shared bathroom is big clean and pretty. The breakfast is not in the building but it was not difficult to find Carolyn´s Cafe two minutes away. We liked the style and atmosphere in obviously... More

The twist is you have to career down a steep hill to get to the cafe for your breakfast. A taxi from the pier is a must also. Top steep a hill to carry bags up. Grand views though. At 30 pppn it does seem at tad over priced. Especially as the hotel I stayed in in Glasgow was around... More

A nice place to live on for a couple of days. Caroline, the owner is easy to speak with and no problem to get help from. Breakfast at Carolines Café is realy good. You can get takeaways for your daytrip too. You can also have lunch and dinner here. I can recommend this place.

We spent our first night in Scotland in one of the smaller rooms of the Lorne View B&B. Apart from space (which was not that much of an issue for us), we had a great experience. The view was awesome, furnishings looked new, the bed was comfortable and the included breakfast in the nearby Café was also very good.

We stumbled on this sweet B&B accidentally on our way up to the tower. The B&B we'd tried to stop at was closed (though the sign said open). Carolyn cheerfully accommodated us in a clean, friendly room with a tiny, functional en suite bathroom (we want to adapt that sliding door for our home!). Great view out over Oban harbor... More

A neat little b&b above the town with very nice views, tiny but effective bathroom, and a friendly black cat. Breakfast is in the town at Carolyn's Cafe. Reasonably priced, entirely comfortable, would stay there again.
