All the staff are terrible apart from the French waitress. Dinning room you sit in the corner like school children. Complain and your meal is DUMD down on your table. Managers totally ignored the 3 couples in the corner of dinning room all thro out 3 days stay. We had to constantly asked for more towels for our room. Not what our grandparents had told us of the previous stays as they are regularly users. New staff? Think there is a need for staff training including the Manegeress. Paid a lot of money for this as it was our first venture out since lockdown. Reimbursement in some form would be nice. Hope????
A relaxing stay en-route to the Highlands. The hotel was very COVID safe and the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. Food at dinner was perfect with a good selection of locally source produce and breakfast was cooked to order and tasted amazing. Will definitely be back very soon.
We are just back from one night away at the Loch Fyne Hotel and what a lovely time we had. The rooms are nicely decorated and clean as a whistle. The beds are very comfortable. We were in a standard twin and there was lots of space. The public areas are also tasteful and comfortable. A fire pit was on the go for those having a pre dinner drink outside. The staff provide blankets too. The food at dinner and breakfast was fabulous. Beautifully cooked and presented. It was the staff, however, who made our stay exceptional. Welcoming, friendly, always helpful and polite, they should be very proud of themselves for providing such great service. Would highly recommend
We treated ourselves to a night away and what a treat it was. Staff were all very pleasant and welcoming, food was great and our room (room 21) was stunning. The bathroom was very special. The hotel has everything you could hope for to enjoy a perfect night away. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the outdoor hot tub before having a delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant. We then enjoyed a few drinks at the George Hotels beer garden. We slept wonderfully in the huge comfortable bed and headed home feeling so very relaxed after a perfect breakfast. We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough and look forward to returning as soon as covid restrictions allow. Well done loch fyne hotel and thank you all for doing such a wonderful job.
Loch Fyne was very disappointing from the moment I booked. Firstly I was due to stay at another property which ended up closed due to covid. I called the hotel to ask what the room rate was and what was the best room they had (my wife and I were on mini moon after getting married several days before). The woman gave me a rate on the phone which was considerably more than the usual price comparison sites. Over £120 of a difference on a 2 night stay and I know the price comparison sites will take commission from the hotel itself. Woman on the phone said she would phone me back in 15 minutes and never did. When we entered the hotel after a long drive we were barely acknowledged at all. It was quite an awkward atmosphere to be honest. It felt like more of a "What do you want?" as opposed to Welcome to our hotel. As it was a special occasion I was more than happy to pay a premium for a better room or a room with a view, instead we ended up with a lovely view of the overspill car park. One of the only things the member of staff said to us at check in was apparently we had requested a wheelchair friendly room which it was visible all guests present didn't need an accessible room. When handed an invoice or ticket as such for my room the room number we had been allocated had been scribbled out 4 times on the same sheet of paper. I now see sponsored posts on social media for this hotel with offers including things like welcome drink, dinner included etc. if the staff had any idea of how to treat customers they could've offered my wife something on arrival. When we got to the room at first glance it matched the pictures and I thought it was ok. It lacked what you would expect in a 4 star hotel. No bottled water, no fridge. No menu for room service? When I tried to get over to sleep that's when I realised it was a total waste of money. We had a double room. 2 small twin beds noticeably pushed together with a gap in the middle and not even a full double duvet. The beds were not comfortable at all especially for a supposed 4 star hotel. We stayed at a Premier Inn for £29 when we first arrived in Scotland and the bed was 10 times better! I woke up both mornings with a sore back and I'm not overweight. Both nights we weren't able to get over until late as we could hear everything from other rooms clear as day! We could hear our neighbours partying until the early hours, having a shower, coughing etc etc. We used room service for dinner and breakfast mainly because we had our 1 year old daughter with us. The fillet steak was great but considering I ordered 2 x 3 course meals and drinks I thought especially with covid charging £7.95 for a tray charge was a bit petty. I left Loch Fyne feeling disappointed and that I should've just cut my mini moon short and just went home. Never again. The only chance I would return is to charge my Tesla and have dinner.…
