We spent 2 nights at Balmashanner B&B with very positieve experience. We liked very much the quietness of the house and the surroundings. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, with nice view of long stretched fields. The bed was big and comfortable. The owner was very friendly; he didn't accept other visitors to insure that we could have the...

Our stay was strange. Very, very strange which is great if you go to a haunted house, not so good if you are staying in a B & B. The owner is abrupt and aggressive and our stay just reminds us why chains do so well in the UK, staying a chain normally guarantees you a standard of service regardless...

Trip Advisor are still investigating this review but it has been posted by a driver who got a bit annoyed that I sounded my horn at him for taking his time at a green set of lights in a local town near me. They then drove up behind me at the next set of lights and proceeded to take a...

Enjoyed a superb stay with Robert at his delightful and very comfortable rural property. He accommodated 6 adults with tremendous courtesy and generosity. The breakfasts were excellent and basically a faultless stay. We wholly recommend Balmashanner House as a great base for a visit to idyllic Forfar.

We have regularly booked accommodation here for our staff and clients. Lovely country house with great views with clean spacious rooms. Breakfast served in the room at the breakfast table at the window. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Recommend for business as well as a weekend away.

Lovely rural location but still only a 2min drive from Forfar. Large 18 century country house with nice views over the countryside. I booked a double room for extra space which had a TV, sofa and fridge. Breakfast was lovely which you have in your room at a breakfast table at the window. Recommend to anyone on business or for...

I have delayed posting this review in hope that the landlord, would honour his word to return the money he owes to my employer, but as this seems increasingly unlikely and is perhaps endangering other guests, I don’t feel like I should wait any longer. My review of the Balmashanner Bed and Breakfast is from a brief visit there in...

On arriving at this lovely countryside B&B we were greeted by the owners who were very friendly, knowledgeable about the local area and eager to make sure our stay was as lovely as possible. Breakfast is brought (within reason I imagine) whenever you request it for and catered to your tastes. The walks in the local area are lovely, the...

What a really wonderful place. The location could not be better, beautiful. How often have you woken up, looked out of the window and seen a Buzzard 8 meters away washing in the bird bath. Forfar as a small town is perfectly placed for a full week or a few days exploring locally with "Olde Masons Arms" real local, very...
