I spent 2 nights at Arden guest house in July and found the average level of service poor. Cleanliness was somewhat ok, but bathrooms need to be renewed. Everything is so old that looks like dirty. The mattress was horribly uncomfortable and rooms are very badly isolated. The host was not very welcoming. She quickly showed me the room and...

I arrived off the night train from London before 8am and was welcomed to breakfast. The staff made a special effort to get my room ready and I was in it before 9.30 - a great relief to be able to rest and settle in. It was a nice airy room with every convenience. I would recommend it.

Was very well received, small room, but cozy with a nice view, very clean with fresh soft towels every morning. Great warm breakfast with boiled eggs cooked to perfection and great location. I loved it and will return.

The room was small especially with luggage. The breakfasts were good. Didn't like the paid parking outside between 8am - 8pm. It should have been free for residents of the Guest house. Wasn't user friendly with all the stairs - especially for older couples and carrying luggage to your room.

Great breakfast , room was very clean, good bed but not very big. Located just off Union Street but in a very quiet one way street. Excellent for the shopping and...

The house echos with every footstep and Door opening and I didn't get...

Firstly the people are nice, the rooms are clean and the breakfast was nice. The first night the noise went on until 11.00 which is not so bad as it's nice to hear people enjoying themselves. I was in room 1 which is right next door to the owners private quarters - On the Tuesday it was very noisey until...
