I have stayed now in Maldron hotel a couple times and would highly recommend, it's prime location is ideal for shopping or for nice walks. Carpark spaces are limited at hotel but the nearby Bishop carpark is very reasonable and free on a Sunday so not a issue.. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated , spotless and bed very comfortable, The Restaurant food is excellent and the Buffet breakfast also has such a variety, excellent value for money overall compared to some of the city hotels and cheaper agan if booked online.. I will certainly stay here again on my future breaks to Derry and thanks again to Management and Staff

My 2 friends and I shared a large family room which was clean and nicely decorated. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Hotel is very central to everything in Londonderry, right beside the old walls so very easy for a walk around the city. Only a few minutes walk from the bus station. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again sometime.

Excellent hotel in a great location and staff to match. The room was perfect and very spacious. All very welcoming for our overnight stay. Special mention to Jim for sorting the morning coffee while everyone else still sleeping, Katy on reception for sorting us with tour tickets and Michelle who was just a breath of fresh air while at breakfast. Thank you 😊

Pretty ropey like many hotels in NI - where people have got low standards and expectations. Arriving during the “jazz” festival to find a wedding reception clogging up reception wasn’t pretty. Being woken at 3am listening to drunken oafs shouting the odds up and down the corridor. Stayed in arm 102. A flush handle in the bathroom that’s broken. Flimsy Maldron towels - hand towels in any other country. Tepid water!! A breakfast / dinner restaurant that stunk and needs a good airing / carpet clean. With processed juices and poor quality food. In short - is Maldron a pub or a hotel? You can’t be both - either way it’s ripping off very easily pleased customers. This building needs a refurbishment and soundproofing If any reader has got a bit of taste - avoid this place. Paul -

Dear Paul, Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I am naturally very disappointed to read your comments and we apologise we were not able to provide you with the quality of services you deserve. This is uncharacteristic of our hotel and staff, and we are always looking for ways to improve our customer experience. Your satisfaction is very important to us and we try hard to make sure all of our guests have a rewarding stay. Had you raised your issues with us directly during your stay about the noise, your room standards or your breakfast, we could have offered you a room move or spoken to the team and the chefs about your breakfast at the time and maybe resolved these for you before leaving the hotel. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will consider staying with us again Kindest Regards, Paul Truscott General Manager
