I want to start with the good parts. The beds are very comfortable, nice towels, friendly staff and good variety at breakfast. The hotel is well positioned for many of the attractions of Derry. The problem is that the place doesn't seems to be well maintained. I was there for 3 nights and slept in a different room each night. In total these were the problems - badly leaking shower, broken air con in two rooms meaning the rooms were very very hot. They did try to sort one room but left it with such a loud noise going on that they said I would need to move room at nearly 1am. Also in two of the rooms, the sockets didn't work, I had to get the key cards reset 3 times for one room as they didn't work. There was no room service but they didn't tell you that so I was left with the sopping wet towels I used to mop up the shower. In one room there was mould around the shower and the sink was brown around the seal - photos attached. The other two rooms were not like that, they were clean. Our family had booked two rooms and there were problems with the other room too. The staff mostly tried to resolve the issues where possible but it did spoil what was supposed to be a family celebration because of the amount of time we had to spend getting things sorted. We were not even offered a complimentary drink at the bar let alone any compensation even though one night meant taking a down graded room. I can see how you could go to this hotel and have a good stay if you were given one of the decent rooms but I wouldn't recommend it in case you were unlucky like us.

We had visited derry for a family get together and I have to say the hotel was more than accommodating. I just want to mention Owen who was a super star, anything we needed he got it for us and inside and outside the hotel while he wasn’t on shift. You were brilliant Owen and I hope to see you again.

This is a modern clean hotel, everything was good, we enjoyed our stay here and we would recommend it as a great base for a short city break. Th soundproofing windows and black-out curtains were excellent. We slept well. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast was good but the breakfast area layout could be designed a bit better as this slows down things when it gets busy. The location is very central.

You have the most amazing people working at this hotel. On our second day, I was struck with an illness. I needed to have the room changed out completely; sheets and towels were sweated through. I was advised by the cleaning staff that they only had capacity to clean on arrival or departure. Upon hearing this, Thomas Duddy sprung into action and arranged to have my room cleaned. Although I spent the balance of my time in the room, I needed this clutch assist by Mr Duddy. I found all the staff very helpful, kind and considerate. The location of the hotel is central and the rest of my party got out to explore the night light. It is literally a couple blocks from a street filled with pubs. I can't imagine it is far from any of the action. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was standard but excellent. I recommend this location.

Pretty far from the airport, as it's 1 hr 40 mins. Very clean space, the room was a double. The bathroom seems to be the widest I've seen in England lol. Breakfast option is good, the usual English breakfast. I had minimal interaction with the staff but when I did, they were courteous and respectful. The hotel is surrounded by a handful of restaurants . From a Chinese restaurant ( takeaway) on the left just by the traffic light to an assortment of between Turkey, Indian and Mexican spots. It is a also close to the guild Hall and others. They are always fully booked so u may want to plan your trip carefully to avoid last minute issues

This is an updated more modern hotel. The check in service was excellent. The rooms were spacious, well decorated, and had ample power conveniences for charging todays devices. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet. There was AC available which, believe it or not, we needed in April! The staff was super! They worked hard at everything to make your stay perfect. The breakfast was plentiful and well stocked - again with the staff working hard to make sure everything was stocked. The location is right off of Waterloo street which has some excellent night life and live music. It is literally a 1-2 minute walk to some fun night life. The location is next to many of the tourist attractions so you never need to drive (Guild hall, Peace Bridge, Walled City, etc). The only down side is no parking. The car park is a short 2-3 minute walk. Have the front desk endorse your ticket for a discounted rate. Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Basic hotel room. Clean. Slightly rundown. Breakfast was very mediocre. Dining area functional canteen like. Staff friendly. Be careful of car park on a Sunday. Had to go across the road to another hotel to endorse car park ticket. This is strictly a place to sleep. Nothing more to recommend it.

Hello Paul W, Thank you for keeping the IHG® Hotels and Resorts properties your preferred choice and for sharing your experience. While I am glad you appreciate our hotel's cleanliness and hospitable staff service, what you described is definitely not the kind of experience we want any of our guests to have. We strive to offer simple pleasures, but that did not happen on your visit. I am sorry for the letdown. I've shared your feedback with our management team, and I trust that they will use this as a reference to help us further improve the quality of our guests' experience. I hope to get another chance to host your next visit as we promise to make the value of your experience worth it for all the right reasons. Yours in hospitality, Jeraldine R. Case Manager IHG Service

horrible hotel!!! everything is dirty and the room does not match the description. the mugs are dirty, the carpet is dirty. there was no shampoo, there was only 2 in 1, shower gel, and even then three drops. we had a room with a view on the wall, so the window was also dirty 🤢. the bed was supposed to be king size, but in fact there were 2 singles together, which were moving apart. We will never return to this hotel and would not recommend to others!
