We toured Northern Ireland for 10 days and at 65 pounds/night this is one of the most expensive but the worst B&Bs we stayed at. Let’s say we paid less than 50 pounds to stay at the beautiful Warren’s in Belfast, where you get a designated parking space and a great breakfast. These are the issues we faced: 1. The room was full of flies 2. Due to Covid (allegedly) – everyone else provided us hot breakfast – you get some cheap confectionary in your room 3. The property is advised as having free parking. There is no parking, but you park on the road if you find a parking space. Otherwise you need to pay for it. 4. They charged me twice. The first time through Agoda, the second time at the property as the owner claimed she had not received a payment. 2 weeks later I am still waiting for my money back. Never again…
From the initial friendly phone conversation in the morning to explain the contactless procedure (very important for me) to the clean and specious rooms, and through to the tasty breakfast to go (so plentiful), we really enjoyed our stay. Located in the city centre, we were able to visit the sites by foot. would definitely recommend as it was clear that the covid-19 regulations were correctly followed.
The accommodation is very convenient for exploring Derry. Quite near is the Free Derry Museum which is excellent. The accommodation had everything we needed and the price was reasonable.Kevin was very helpful with suggestions. Very happy to recommend this B and B.
I stayed at the Walled City B&B in early January and had a great time. We were met on arrival by Kevin, the owner who was very friendly and welcoming and took time to give us his recommendations for things to see and where to eat and kept in touch with us to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay. The room we had was clean, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The location was great too, only a brisk walk to the city centre - about 5 minutes at most! Lots of small bars close by. Breakfast was also included and it was a really nice meal. Our stay was great value and I would stay here again. I would recommend staying here for a trip to Derry.
This is a B&B owned and operated by Kevin and his daughter; they also have another B&B in the area. The location is excellent; easy walk to pubs, restaurants, river front, town walls, and shopping. Parking is tight but Kevin had a spot reserved for us. Breakfast was adequate, Kevin was very accommodating and gave us some great recommendations, the room was quiet, and the price was a good value.
We stayed for one night. The B&B is located in city center. Parking was available across the city. Restaurants are in walking distance as well as sites. The hosts were friendly and breakfast was good. Internet is available. The room and bath were on the small size but adequate. It was located up several flights of stairs.
We booked for one night for the jazz festival. I was worried about parking but was given great directions by Kevin and where to park, there were no issues. The room was well equipped with hair dryer, towels and tea and coffee. More than we expected and we were delighted. Niamh and Anto were great, so helpful and friendly. It is great value for money and we will definitely stay again.
