We had to go to N Ireland for a funeral. We travelled from Kent and our friend travelled from Cyprus. On arrival at number nine we had a TRUE IRISH WELCOME. This lovely couple could not do enough to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were lovely, the food was great and the WELCOME........

My room and own bathroom were very clean, the bed very comfortable(in fact I made myself a promise to get a new mattress when I got home it was so nice). The breakfast was lovely(cereals, fruit juice, fruit ,lovely fresh bread and butter and a traditional fry-up).But all these good points were surpassed by the loveliness of hosts of this establishment,Angela and Eamon who... I totally agree with the previous comments about how friendly Angela and her husband were during our one night stay. We arrived rather weary from Londonderry after getting lost a number of times so Angela and her husband’s warm welcome was very welcome. The room had everything in it that you could possibly need including homemade muffins. The bathroom was... More

We were made so welcome that we felt as though we were at home. Our room had everything we needed and more besides. We were only here for one night but are happy to recommend to others. We were given good advice on where to eat which was only a short walk away.

Stayed 2 nights with my girlfriend when we were visiting for a nearby wedding and were treated to the most welcoming B and B experience of our lives. Very friendly hosts who couldn't have done more to make us feel welcome in their home. A truly exceptional experience for those visiting Downpatrick. Thanks

Stayed here for a week and if I could rate it 6 stars I would! The room was clean and comfy and the breakfast was top notch. Angela's knowledge of the area's tourist attractions are unsurpassed. Eddie offered to take me for a round of golf! I even met one of their sons in church! Friendly and hospitable, I'd definitely... More

Number Nine is an exceptionally good B@B in the historic town of Downpatrick, Co.Down. We arrived after a long drive from the south of Ireland, and were warmly welcomed with tea, coffee and muffins. Our room - twin bedded - was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully provided with absolutely anything a guest might need: toiletries, a dressing gown, maps, water, wifi,... More

Stayed here for five nights when visiting family and friends in the area. We had the room with en-suite. The facilities are very good. The location is in a residential area about 15 mins walk from the town centre. Angela and Edmund are the reason for the five stars - they were very welcoming and helpful. They joined us for... More

My husband and I had a bedroom with private bath at #9 for 7 days in July 2016. Typically, we are not B&B type of people, but we were in Down Patrick for Skiffie World 2016 and lodging filled up quickly. We feel blessed that many places were booked because it lead us to Angela and Edmond and for 7... More
