This is a large but friendly hostel located within walking distance of the city centre. Clean basic accommodation with a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable dinning room and a staff team who are very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent for visiting the city or touring the surrounding area. One small issue was that it takes some finding, if there were signs giving directions to the hostel they were pretty well hidden! If arriving late and after dark it could be a problem.

Friendly and professional reception staff, Brendan and Mark welcome all visitors. Natalie keeps the hostel clean, with a huge TV room and fully fitted kitchen. Budget travellers will appreciate that costs can be kept down by shopping at nearby supermarkets. Armagh is small so all attractions are nearby. Variety of rooms, from dorms to doubles, twins. Unbeatable price.

Superb hostel very convenient for touring around this corner of Northern Ireland. It is of a very high standard throughout. Spotlessly clean and tidy and with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff who are only to happy to chat and give advice on pretty much anything you need to know. Kitchen is well equipped, very clean and spacious. Rooms are comfortable, spacious and warm. My only complaint is the sign posting to find it! ...It took me over an hour driving around in circles and asking for directions. If you arrive after dark be warned. There is NO excuse for this as it is owned and run by the council. Pity it is not open all year around or at least for a bit longer.

We've been going to the 7 Hill Blues Festival for four or five years now. We started off by staying in one of the local hotels, but realised that since we don't spend much time indoors while we're there, the youth hostel is an obvious alternative. We've discovered that quite a few of the festival musicians also stay at the hostel, which is nice as you might bump into them. The rooms are very clean - much cleaner than many hotels in Europe! We didn't avail of any of the communal facilities as we had an ensuite room and dined out in local restaurants (yes, that's cheating but, hey, we were only there for the blues!)

Stayed as part of a large group. Check in was efficient, and the staff very friendly. They offered advice on where to go in the city, which was great.
Spacious free parking and very clean, with decent bathrooms.
The only downside is breakfast is not provided and facilities are limited, although there is a kitchen and plenty of places to eat nearby.
Thank Olivia E
