I booked in to this hotel as it was the nearest to where I wanted to be for the next morning, well it is fabulous with super comfortable room and bed and the breakfast menu is 5 star, Hanna is very helpful as are all the staff. Would highly recommend.
Myself and my partner stayed her for Three nights, we found the staff to be very friendly and helpful to any requests or needs we had, they also assisted us greatly getting a taxi to the airport on our last day (this was proving difficult due to weather) The only small issues from our perspective was the room needed a better clean, there was a lot of dust on the top area of our headboard and the bathroom had no toiletries when we arrived (but these were provided when I asked for them) Finally one of the curtains was handing very lose on the end. Better pre-arrival room checks could fix these few issues. Overall a very satisfying stay.
Stayed here for three days in February. Accommodation is set in a vibrant area with a good choice of amenities, eateries and transport links. We took the Studio Suite which for a little extra was the right choice. It provided acres of space and felt very luxurious. Wonderful bathroom with a heated floor which was very welcome. Breakfasts offered a wide choice and were cooked to order. Would stay again when next in Belfast.
Excellent accommodations, friendly and helpful staff and great location. Love the heated bathroom floor and hot water. Shower small but wonderful. Breakfast is delicious, especially the grilled soda bread. Can walk anywhere from Harpers. Recommend it to all and would definitely stay again if we return to Belfast.
The rooms are nice, large, with king size bed, and well-kept in this Victorian home. Only a 3 rating as they stated they had "free nearby parking." Actually it was on-street parking, which was virtually non-existent. So when booking, we thought we were getting the room, breakfast and a parking spot for the price. Not so.
Thanks so much for a nice place to stay. Convienent to botanic street and to restaurants. Took a taxi tour ,titanic museum and proni! Full day Rooms comfortable and clean. Breakfast nice and water kettles in the room. Hannah is pleasant.
*disclaimer: this review can be found on other platforms, but I found it too important to not be shared to other POC (People Of Color) and POC Allies on all platforms* During my stay at Harper’s boutique, my partner (A black man) and I had gone downstairs to eat breakfast in the morning. While waiting to be served, the staff had asked the other couples around us their preferences on simple things such as toast, but neglected us. Not a big deal, so we decided to brush it off; however, we continued waiting and heard from the kitchen: “Who’s is this?” And a female staff respond, “The black one’s” in reference to my partner, the only black person in the room. I decided to bring up the comments to the owner upon check out, which she readily admitted to making that comment and proceeded to state: “Well, you are black, (shrugged),” “I didn’t mean it in a racist way, it’s just how we get on out here, I have loads of black friends.” She continued justifying her statements by blaming her coworker’s hearing and the large “rush” (A total of 2 couples in the room, including us). I had stated that the comments made us uncomfortable and that regardless of my relationship to the black person in the room, I would have felt just as uncomfortable. The owner appeared to shrug off the comments as a culture thing, not knowing that my partner has lived in NI for several months, and this being his first experience of racial profiling in a business setting. On a more positive note, booking.com was easy to use and accommodating later check in times for us to enter the establishment. The room appeared clean, and cosmetically pleasing.…
We spent a night here to break a journey and it is a real find. Everything works properly, the bed, pillows, sheets etc are great, and the heating is perfectly adjustable. There are even enough handy sockets for charging phones and laptops. The room's decor is very pleasant and airy though for a long stay, two people might find it a little small. The house is a rather posh Victorian bay-fronted red brick terraced type with original tiling on the hall floor, and it has been stylishly refurbished by the owners. It is very well sited in University Street opposite the Holiday Inn Express in the area near Queen's University, within walking distance of Queen's Film Theatre, the Ulster Museum, the Lyric Theatre, the Botanic Gardens and Botanic Avenue which has many restaurants and cafes. The ensuite bathrooms are wet rooms with showers but no baths. The bedrooms have kettles with a tea/coffee tray, impressively including biscuits. Breakfast is excellent and is based on personal choice. You fill in a ticklist the night before so you are sure of getting exactly what you asked for next morning. This place combines traditional Irish hospitality with modern comfort and efficiency. The price was amazingly low, including breakfast.…
Three of us stayed at Harper’s for the night as we were in Belfast for a concert. The young lady who booked us in was lovely and a great source of local information. Room was immaculate and the breakfast was brilliant. Would definitely stay again.
From start to finish this B&B was terrific. The staff went out of their way to help us find and organize activities and the breakfast was amazing whether you want a simple buffet or a full "Irish Breakfast". Loved the antiquity and architecture of the building. Beds were comfortable and facilities were great. Would book there again without hesitation!
