Detailed Reviews
Secure site with gate code access. No children's pp lay equipment. Small site. Facilities were clean. Nearby bus into city centre was convient and cheap. Used city tour bus to access main sites around and about including Titanic centre and Crumlin road gaol.
Whilst near a busy road it was surprisingly quiet during the night. Facilities would have benefited from a separate sinks area as they were in with the showers slowing down access.
Our electric failed on our first night but was sorted by the visiting warden next day. Strangely tokens for washing machines had to be purchased from the ice rink reception a little walk away. A good selection of eating places within walking distance.

First stay at the Dundonald Caravan Park. At the moment it is an Aire de Service. Full facilities open in March (14th). EHU, water and waste facilities, £10 per night.
We went to the nearby cinema (5 min walk). Nearby also, Ice rink, 10 pin bowling, 2Comber Greenway" cycle and footpath leading to Belfast City.
This place is very popular with tourist wanting to visit Belfast.
Normal prices are £25 per night (access to toilets and showers etc).
Slight road noise otherwise this would have got 5 stars.

To stay here you need to book online before you arrive to get a code. The process is quick and easy. The facilities are clean and has everything you need plus the use of a basic kitchen with wash up area, small fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. The camp area is fenced in and safe. Overall a lovely place to stay.

A council-owned rather utilitarian site, it's pleasant enough though with plenty of green space & fully serviced pitches. Really handy for the ferry port, about 30 minutes away. It's situated close to a sports complex, we didn't come any of the loyalist areas others have talked about, there's very few residential areas nearby, so I'm a bit mystified with that.
Security is excellent for both vehicle & pedestrian gates & for the shower block with a different code for each booking.
There's eating places 5 minutes walk away, pizza, Indian, American diner type places. Excellent dog walks just outside the site. Let down though by the shower block, toilets & kitchen are fine but the showers themselves are pretty unsavoury, mouldy grout & stained curtains & generally look unhygienic, we avoided them & used our own shower. We're unlikely to be back in the area but overall we would recommend the site, good value at only £23.

Stayed here as a family of 5 back in Feb. First run out in our caravan. Aire de Service meant amenities closed but only £10 per night with water & electric hook up so all good! Site quiet, secure & decent pitches. Right beside Dundonald Ice Bowl & Restaurants within walking distance. Nice walking trails and fab playground at Stormont Estate not too far away. Easy access into Belfast.

Excellent secure campsite just 200 yards from half hourly bus service into Belfast City Centre.
Facilities are good, friendly and knowledgeable warden. Electricity, fresh water and drain all in one pod on each pitch. Very little road noise, especially after 9pm.

The camp site is very secure and clean. It was not easy to find at first, after going round the roundabout several times, we realalized we needed to take the road that led to the eateries . Shame the facilities were closed due to Covid 19, so I can't comment on them. You can definitely hear the road noise, that didn't bother us as we live near a busy road, but the most annoying thing was the young lads riding their cars with loud exhausts up and down the access road to the site. That really needs sorting. But besides that there are plenty of places to eat and a brilliant safe cycle/foot path into Belfast.

We stayed here in August a family of 4 as a base to visit sights in Belfast and surrounding areas which was perfect for us.
The campsite was lovely with spacious pitches. The website we booked on stated there was a fridge in the campers kitchen but when we arrived we were disappointed there wasn't one. Speaking to the site warden who was lovely, he was very helpful and knowledgeable (sorry I've forgotten his name) he said it had been removed and were awaiting a new one this should have been advertised when we were booking as a fridge was a deciding factor for us as a family when booking.
The site was well maintained and I must mention that I was delighted to see that the campsite recognises disabilities including hidden disabilities.
Worth a visit.

Lovely tidy, clean and very friendly campsite, highly recommended. Warden was extremely friendly and helpful.
Stayed there in the motorhome in April 2024, local amenities very close and only a 4min walk to catch a regular bus service to Belfast city centre.

Great campsite, brilliant base for touring Belfast City. No 4 bus stop nearby and regular bus service into and from Belfast City Centre. The campsite is small. The toilet / shower facilities are mixed (male / female) and were busy at times. The washing up area was good with 2 sinks. There is also a laundry facility. Family friendly- lots of children and also dog friendly. Very secure gated entrance. All in all, a great find

Low season £9 per night and high season £25 per night all in.
If this is in response to the review " warning location nightmare " i couldn't agree more.
We stayed at the same site only a month before and experienced none of this.
We did venture out around the local area many times, we walked to the Ice bowl and the Cinema, we drove to a local supermarket and several takeaways and found the people to be helpfull and very welcoming. There were many nationalities staying at the time who left the site on foot and returned later in the day.
I am absolutely baffled by this review !
