We went here for afternoon tea , just a stunning place to catch up .

Unfortunately my husband picked this "five star resturant" for our anniversary.
If you want to be served cold mush and wash it down with bitter wine, then do go to The Merchant Hotel, pestered every few mins by the waiting staff doesnt help either.

Hi Laura not sure if you have been but the reason for the noise is that its an old listed building so the owner's would have been restricted in the work to the property for sound proofing. The Art Deco section won't have... More
Hi Laura not sure if you have been but the reason for the noise is that its an old listed building so the owner's would have been restricted in the work to the property for sound proofing. The Art Deco section won't have such a problem as its brand new and the owner does a great job at most things. Enjoy your stay
