The staff and guests were all very friendly and welcoming, I had a lovely time! Erika even let me check in a couple hours early because I was going to be out till late after arriving on a morning flight. The hostel is one mile from the centre and a nice and easy 20 min straight walk on main roads (or there's a bus stop right on the corner). This is not a party hostel and I'm so ok with that! They only have one rule and that is quiet after 9pm. Makes for a nice pleasant time! Great atmosphere. I stayed in a 4 bed women's dorm, it's a little bit of a squeeze because the hostel is a converted house. There's lockers in the dorm with keys provided (free of charge) which is a nice touch, the dorms are keypad entry (not sure how often they change codes). I stayed in March and so it was still chilly temps but in a full dorm the air got a little humid from just people's heat/respiration so we opened the window in the mornings (windows would get condensation on the inside), it would be great if they could ensure the window vent remains open (if there is one), open the windows when cleaning (if you don't already), or install a small vent. The bed have a cute little metal basket to keep things handy but there's only one plug socket at the wall and an extension cord in the middle of the beds so a little inconvenient but not a huge problem. The showers and toilets, like everyone has said, are a squeeze and you'll have make sure you leave plenty of time to shower if you needed to be somewhere at a specific time because it does get busy (I just showered at night and not mornings). The breakfast is a lovely cold spread (cereal, breads/bagels with toaster, juice, fruit, tea, and coffee). I didn't get a chance to hang out in the living room so can't say anything on that but it looked cute and cosy. The hospital is right over the road and at the other end of the street is the University and down the road is the Botanical Gardens. Thank you very much for the lovely stay!…
Cosy place, only four rooms so really quiet. Breakfast included and good quality. The living room is charming, homy place The bedding is perfect ! Thank you very much for your sweet welcome Lola & Camille
It was a good location and the staff was very helpful. The front desk girl even took me to see some live music! I got a parking ticket outside for parking too close to the main road (parking on the street right outside the hostel is fine). It is clearly marked on the sidewalk, so it was definitely my fault but be careful, you’ll get an expensive ticket quick there (took 10-15 minutes and I got a 45 pound ticket!)
LOCATION It is not bad located, it is within a walking distance from the city centre. But close enough to have a stroll to visit Belfast ROOMS I booked a 4 people room, but unfortunately I found the space was not enough. As well, the mattres was not so confortable as you could feel the springs on your back. Every room has a different code to enter which is provided upon arrival. I did not have bathroom inside but there are two showers and two toilets for general use. STAFF Staff are very nice, they do their best to make you feel at home, specially the argentinian boy who was very nice, thank you for your kindness!! They made me the laundry for 5£!! PREMISES Premises are fine, it is a two floor victorian house. You have a full kitchen to use and and a room to relax, read or just talk. They also offer board games and a very lovely garden. BREAKFAST Breakfast is served daily from 8 to 10 including cereals, juice, milk, toasts and coffe & tea (all day).…
Great accommodation which is advisable for pairs, group of friends or single travellers. Hostel is located only 20 minutes from city center, and 3 minutes from Queen's University. My room was nice and clean as well as toilets and showers for whole stay. There was also wi-fi connection, kitchen suitable for breakfasts, lunches and dinners and small garden.
For a hostel this size, there are only two toilets and two showers... this is not enough! Be prepared to wake up really early to get ready. Beds appear to be hit and miss as mine was comfortable but my friends had some complains. Otherwise, it’s cheap, good location, friendly staff. You get what you paid for.
THE GOOD - friendly staff - large kitchen - clean -location THE BAD - our mattress was uncomfortable, the springs and wires could be felt through it. - available toilets = 2. Already a queue outside at 7am
I travelled with a group of 15 students. Erica, the owner, was very helpful. She made us feel very welcome and did her best to make our stay in her hostel amazing. The rooms are clean, the kitchen is well equipped and the livingroom very cosy!
The facilities was good. 5 rooms of 23 guests at total. The mattresses was not comfort. There was free breakfast (bread, jam, juice, milk, coffee, oats and cornflakes). People on reception was really friendly and communicative. The problem was that there were only two public bathrooms for all of guests. I think you can find something better at this price!!
Me and my friends were looking for a cheap hostel to spend 2 nights in Belfast and this was it. The house was really cute, and had a familiar vibe. It was clean, there is a living room with lots of books. We werent allowed to light the fire or play the piano. The breakfast served its purpose. The temperature of the shower I used fluctuated from boilng hot to freezing cold. But overal, it was nice.
