This hotel serves an excellent purpose as a venue for parties. I gather that if you are a guest of the party that is going on downstairs, you don't mind all the noise. Also, the consumption of alcohol might cancel out annoyance with the smell of cigarette smoke in your room, and eveything else that is not quite right. As...

We booked the Westbury Room for a full day business meeting for 15 to 20 people. The service was OK, although the coffee was dreadful, and the food mediocre. But the worst thing was when the room next door, separated only by a screen, set up music, etc for a wedding. We couldn't hear ourselves think. Not a wise move...

Just back from a weekend in the Balmoral. The hotel itself was nice, room was cosy, nice bar, plenty of parking. It is about a 10 minute taxi / drive to Belfast City Centre. We didn't eat in the hotel so not sure of food quality. We were unfortunate enough to be staying in a room right across from a...

I requested vegetarian meal at my friends wedding and was presented with a very small and unimaginative pasta dish with a tomato sauce. my partners aunt took pity on us and requested garlic bread to try and bulk up our meal, the server said 'yes no problem' and never returned. everyone else was well fed with plates stacked high. I...

Its about time a local business got rid of their microwaves and started cooking fresh produce, they way people want to eat it. Unfortunately it will take a while for people (referencing other reviews) to see past massive portions of frozen unfresh and cheap food. But they will get there. We had a lovely Sunday meal in here and everyone...

Wow -beautiful hotel. Was here for dinner yesterday after a meeting in the hotels conference room with 14 people. Generous portion sizes and very reasonably priced. Good choice on the menu and the food was delicious. Service was quick and staff were attentive. Will definitely be back.

We had a business meeting in the function room at the Balmoral on 19 December. This is definitely a handy option vrs the highly priced city centre options. It is very convenient and easy to find, plenty of car parking facilities and the venue itself was perfectly fit for purpose, with a large room, all tech facilitated and laid out...
