From we arrived at the hotel. We felt welcomed. We got there earlier then check in so we had breakfast. BEAUTIFUL. Staff were very friendly, we actually got checked in before time. Family Room was very clean and tidy, spacious. Beautiful settings throughout the hotel, even to the fine details eg lights in restaurant Food was excellent compliments to the chef. Other people that also stayed and visited were very friendly as well Would definitely recommend excellent value for money

Had a meal here not too long ago with my family, the food was excellent and the service was outstanding. We went in the middle of a busy Sunday afternoon/evening and couldn’t fault the whole team. Will definitely be back here soon!!

As above , surly it’s not too much to ask to sit and have a meal with your family and enjoy precious time without having to listen to nasty people wearing football tops , certainly will not be returning

Having been a regular customers for over 30 years we were in today and the standard of service and the dress code of the staff is not to the usual standards, seems to me it the face doesn’t fit then the staff doesn’t want to know you. We were only in for a couple of drinks so went into the bar area, asked if we could get a cocktail and were told by the girl serving ‘I don’t do cocktails in this bar’ not an issue but about 10 minutes later the same member of staff was happy to go and make another customer a cocktail in the other bar as they were ordering a few drinks. Also noticed a few staff members wearing jeans which was a first as usually staff were all required to wear trousers or a shirt. Seems to me that the current management doesn’t care about what type of clientele they are getting as also noted a few people wearing football tops which was a definite no-no under the previous management

I had my wedding here on Easter Monday. It started on Easter Sunday where my family came from England came had dinner with us. Easter Sunday was absolutely busy in the hotel and the staff AWESOME we had a laugh all day with them, we had family who was late and they told us not to stress they also gave my daughter a bowl of soup as she was getting hungry and extra bread rolls for the rest of it to dip in. The food that day was unbelievable, tasty, hot and MASSIVE. Easter Monday, day of wedding, I have to much to say, we had the most amazing day EVER. the staff at the beechlawn hotel were unreal, nothing was touch hassle. Lauren was the best wee wedding coordinator, everything I needed and anything I asked was just a breeze to her. Even with our dates we changed due to COVID. She was calm and give best advise. My whole day was just flawless, it flowed and before we knew it lights where getting turned on and we had to leave ☹️ the bar staff that night were buzzing with us, a lovely guy with a beard and blonde haired girl she was so funny. The waiting staff where quick and seen to everything. O hot texts messages from guests to tell me how great they where. Tim who helped me move all my boxes and changed rooms around and offered to clean my house....lol (I was just trying to get round to clean it) my mum couldn't of spoken any more highly of him. Shannon was also funny and she boogied with us. Lisa, well I had this lady like I was her stalker, I had room changes and more bookings, she's helping me answering the phone and take payments....brilliant. In all fairness breakfast staff, bar staff, reception staff waiting staff just 1st class. After a crazy weekend with it being Easter then a wedding never once did we feel rushed or pressure. I am so devastated it's over and will always give the beechlawn my costum. THANK YOU SO SO MUCH FOR A ABSOLUTELY CLASS TIME.

I visited the beechlawn on Sunday the 3rd of April with my family (a party of 16). First of all the food was amazing and the service brilliant. One thing that really made me visit was a very thoughtful waitress who saw that I was breastfeeding in the corner and brought me a glass of iced water. This may seem like nothing but for a breast feeding mum this meant the world to me. It brought a tear to my eye and I can’t thank her enough. I hope this message gets passed on to her.

Without getting into all the minor details, my wife and I booked a table a day inadvance. This was ignored when we arrived 5mins ahead of time. Room was cold and extremely noisy with private party booked. Service was nothing short of non-existent. Food was cafe/corner bakery standard. Soup was bland, and not overly warm. Steak was tough, small and had sat under lamps for too long. Chips are not chunky, and oil could do with changing. Wife's roast beef and veg, stoggie and luke warm. No Service to table for drinks or to ask was meal OK. Overall a complete waste of time. It's a bar, with basic pub grub. Bill was completely removed by manager but it doesn't recover a wasted night out which we were looking forward to. This place is a definite candidate for Ramseys kitchen nightmares. Chris Mc

As a family of 7 we booked a celebratory lunch. Some of the menus on the table were dirty. The wait between courses was unacceptably slow. Wrong orders appeared at the table. Overall a very disappointing lunch which as a family we were looking forward to. My son and mother received their meal as we had finished ours. Had to go out of my way several times to get the attention of staff to express my disappointment at how long we had been waiting. Unfortunately it really spoiled what was supposed to be a family celebration. My husband and I were treating our family but honestly can say it was not value for money.
