Room was perfectly adequate, although no air conditioning, despite being an executive room. Breakfast was pretty good, although no black pudding, and the layout meant getting to the buffet was a bit of a squish. Bar area and restaurant very sterile, with no character, although adequate for purpose of a quick drink. My main problem was that when trying to check out at 8.45 AM on a Friday morning, there was no one at reception. We had to go an find someone to help us check out and when someone arrived they did not apologise, in fact made us feel like we had put them out.
The room was good and clean. However there was no air conditioning so you had have the window open and suffered all the noise of a busy city centre night time - so no sleep. Also the vegetarian choices were extremely poor. One choice only, and if you didn't like curry - hard luck. A hotel of this standard should have air conditioning otherwise it is uninhabitable during summer.
We arrived at the Ramada Hotel after a very early flight from Bristol via EasyJet. The flight was on time and we were met at Belfast International Airport for our 4 day break booked with Newmarket Holidays . We were quickly dispatched by via ch to our hotel where we were welcomed by a very efficient friendly reception staff. Our room was perfectly adequate for 2 ladies travelling together and the en-suite bathroom was spacious and had plenty of toiletries. There were 2 comfortable single beds.we did an extensive city tour the following mornnoing visiting the main sites of the troubles, Hillsborough Castle home of the Northern Ireland Assembly, set in beautiful Parkland. The afternoon was spent at the Titanic Exhibition which was a delight. We filled 3 hours happily there as it was such a fine exhibition. Each evening we are either in the hotel or in a nearby restaurant. The standard of food was good. They next day we drove to the Gisnt’s Causeway which was wonderful. The walk was not at all strenuous and there was a restaurant in the main area near the car park. This is a visit that should not be missed. We took a scenic drive back to Belfast through the glens of Antrim a beautiful road. I could warmly recommend a visit to Belfast and a comfortable stay at the Ramada Hotel.…
The photos speak for themselves. Sheets on the bed were full of brown stains. It looked like someone had stepped on them with muddy shoes. Obviously they had not been cleaned - YUCK. Do they not change the sheets? Also surfaces not properly cleaned. I would never ever stay here again.
Stayed at the Ramada in Belfast at the weekend. £269 to stay 1 night is a complete joke! I’ve seen better student dorm rooms. When we got there, we couldn’t get the window open. There was no aircon and the room was like an oven. Asked if something could be done about it at reception. Was told the window would be opened and a fan in our room by the time we got back- neither happened so we got barely any sleep. No wardrobe in the room- just what seems like a lump of plywood on the wall with a couple of hangers. Walls so thin that you just constantly heard doors slamming as people went in and out of their rooms. And to top it all off, housekeeping thought it would be a good idea to knock on our door at 0900 on a Sunday morning. Well I suppose with the heat of the room and an uncomfortable bed, perhaps they assumed we wouldn’t be sleeping anyway! If I was paying £50 a night, I might’ve understood but to be paying £269 is ridiculous. I have used Ramadas in the US- clearly things have gone to the dogs if this hotel is allowed to use the name. Stay many a weekend in Belfast but will never be back here…
The hotel is situated close to the city center. It was easy to find. Very friendly staff and easy check in. In the lobby there is a restaurant and breakfast is also served there. The room was quite big. There is everything I need for a short stay. A big comfortable bed and also a sofa. The bathroom was basic but clean. The breakfast was a full brittish breakfast with everything you want.
Booked via Newmarket Holidays. Good sized twin room. Comfortable beds. Clean, tidy. Ample room for a few nights stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast - continental with fresh fruit cocktail and English, with fresh mushrooms!
Close to city centre-ish, difficult to find car park. if you staying over the weekend you might be lucky and get free offsite parking in front of the hotel. Hotel is near the common place, a street food place where you can get yummy cheap food. Check in counter is small with only few staff working so you might see a queue.
We had a fantastic time at the Ramada in Belfast. The hotel was beautiful and clean. The rooms were a great size. The food was beautiful. The location was brilliant, you are in walking distance from everything. My only negative, and this is being picky, is that there is no free parking or subsidized parking provided. In saying that the closest car park is right next door. We arrived on a Friday evening, left Sunday afternoon and the cost for the car park came to only £20
All this Hotel has going for it is location. The room was filthy, smelly and had a sofa that looked like it was rescued from the dump. £160 for the night room only is a joke. It is beyond basic and needs a massive revamp. Couldn’t wait to check out.
